I wish writer and nameer didn't advocate like that for ammar character in their interviews. It clearly impacted people views including me. One section already being happy thinking he will get heroic end even if it is death, another section is worried thinking they will whitewash his character by making people sympathise him.

I see no reason for his scenes with his mother except to make audience feel sorry for him which exactly happened.

The thing is he is not even that troubled kid the way he is being portrayed. Nashwa and burhan even beenish had more traumatic childhood than him yet he is the one who is getting these layers.

omg, there is a thread against Yumna every hour on Reddit. I figured out why, People are especially salty because she got nominated for TB and some trolls/haters are using the dialogues in the latest episode to hate on her without watching the show.

For all we know, they can somehow undo all the problematic dialogues in the next few episodes. It could be a monologue to herself that she said that to pacify her mom which is obvious from her body language but it still boiled my blood

I think it is the dragging and repetition that is hurting this show.

You said it all.

I don't understand the logic. If yumna shouldn't have been nominated, then how's it okay for wahaj to be nominated? He was the one who played murtasim, so by that logic he shouldn't be nominated as well right? All these "selective" outrage is always for FLs n there were people waiting for one chance to bash her as qej was doing really well in numbers. Now, people are criticizing scripts so these people are now behind yumna's life n somehow linking TB interviews with Qej n calling her ra*e supporter n what not!! Even here, somehow apparently yumna is to be blamed. The guy gets free pass yet again n women get blamed!!

Yes, the crime he committed is so irredeemable that adding all these layers and continuously trying to reinforce the same point is very upsetting. No matter what the makers try to do, I feel zero sympathy for Amaar. Mujhse uskey shakal dekh ker ulti aatey hai

Not just the dragging and repetition, the way they handled maheen track carelessly as if it's not a big deal, it's quite disgusting!!

I can't believe writer, director n actors somehow missed this point n didn't anticipate how things could take an ugly turn. They all asked for it. It's astonishing how none saw it coming!!

Yes, exactly. We don't know which scene they were shooting when the interview happened, and of course, they couldn’t say anything bad about their on-air show when Geo was conducting the interview. What were people expecting them to say — ‘Bohat bura show hai, aap log bilkul bhi na dekhein’?

Not that we should be blaming anyone. Wahaj said the same thing about his character, and he also played the same role, yet all the blame is directed at Yumna.

I just recently found out what the writer and nameer said. I am surprised there is no outrage on writer when she said people will feel sad for ammar character. That statement is very problematic. Why would you write your rapist character in such way that people will feel sad for his end. Why? Nothing about the real rape victim maheen. How it serves her justice when audience gonna feel more bad for her culprit because he is a "troubled kid".

Honestly writing of this drama was always been weak. It is the director who saved it till now.

That has been a problem since the beginning. I brushed it off as them being a influential and dysfunctional family, and this is exactly how they behave around their sons who have committed horrific crimes, but it’s becoming unbearable for me to tolerate now. They need to give us some hope in fiction at the very least
