Yes, plenty of dialogues and direct actions in the show to suggest that he was very much involved. No matter which direction the writer wants to take him it doesn’t absolve him of a lot of stuff he did (spiking the drink, putting Maheen in danger, dumping her body, blackmailing her, not to mention there were scratch marks all over him the next morning which indicates he was among the rapists). Very curious about the trial. Let’s see how it goes.
Some people complained that they would have liked the storytelling to have focused on Maheen side by side while the love triangle and Bisma Asim marriage is going on but I think the separation of the two plots has worked really well for QarzEJaan. Both sides are too important to be dealt with half heartedly so I like that the focus completely shifted and now will shift back. It’s somehow made me more invested in the characters plus there’s that element of mystery still about the resolution of the crime we saw in the earlier episodes. So in the end we will come full circle
I think that shift was essential. They needed to give Bisma a happy ending for the story to make sense. Without separating the narratives, we wouldn't have fully understood the parallel. They clearly wanted to highlight how the daughter ended up on the same fate as her mother, but handled it in a completely different way than her mom did.
If they had only focused on Maheen's case, the show wouldn't have the same impact—it would have turned more into a crime thriller. I'm sure Maheen's case will reopen, and it will become Nashwa's first independent case. This makes sense, especially since Maheen is dead, and her father, being poor, wouldn't have the resources to take on Bakhtiyar and his son. They’ll likely use blackmail and manipulation to force Burhan into taking the case, while Nashwa might take it up to seek justice for Maheen. Right now, Nashwa is in a place where she’s free from her previous responsibilities (her mom is safe). So, she probably wouldn't care about the consequences for herself.

On a serious note, I hope nameer n yumna are paired up in a project where nameer plays a positive lead character.
They look good together.

Here u go
Nashwa's tears are breaking my heart.😭
Hope she comes out strong. I m waiting for police to put this ammar behind the bars n wreck havoc on barkhat villa.
I’m eagerly waiting for Bisma’s confrontation with Nashwa. Bisma endured years of torment, all to ensure that Nashwa wouldn’t have to suffer the same fate. She did everything in her power to protect her, even if it meant sacrificing her own happiness, giving Nashwa what little she was allowed in that household. But what did Nashwa do? In her excitement to free her mother, she tangled herself in a web of lies and decisions that ultimately ruined her own life. The real question is, did Nashwa truly free her mother? No, she didn’t. Instead, she made her life even more miserable. Bisma and Asim will never find true happiness because the foundation of their marriage is built on the ruins of Nashwa’s own life.
