I completely agree with your perspective! However, you mentioned that Armaan asked Abhira how she could love him because he didn’t believe he could be loved. But didn’t Ruhi love him before she got married? At that time, did he not think he deserved love? After all, at one point, he had feelings for Ruhi too.

I’m just curious because I love analyzing characters in depth. I’m not questioning Armaan’s character in a negative way—just trying to understand his mindset better.

Firstly I haven't seen most of the part before Rohits entry so I can just tell you on the basis of what I understood seeing some bits here and there.

Ruhi was initially established as a good looking family oriented girl, more than love we can term it as he saw Ruhi as someone who fit in their family as a bahu, she was shown taking care of elders, being organized, characteristics mostly that would fit as Poddars ki bahu, so I believe what he saw there was again from his family perspective than that of his own. And yes infatuation was there as it was said later in the show also. If it was any kind of love that he has truly felt like it was in the case of Abhira, he would have spoken the day he got to know Ruhi is gonna get engaged to his brother unlike when he spoke for Abhira.

Ruhi loved him or was again attracted to him is again a question because no love would turn into the obsession that Ruhis turned into, again if Ruhi had loved him she wouldn't have misunderstood him over a phone call and decided to marry someone. So in a way Ruhi also dint care for him. So we come back to same point of him not deserving love because he hasn't got it in true sense until Abhira came in his life, and confessed that's why the lines that he couldn't be loved by anyone.
