All of the other actors were better performers in those movies than kartik, but i guess this isn't really a performance award, its a popularity award and thats why kartik got it

I’m fairly certain the Filmfare awards haven’t happened yet because those people don’t know what to do when most of 2024 hit movies don’t have the usual actors to draw the trps

But they can always bring Srk at the end I guess

@Nishita I've noticed that these award shows usually try to balance things out to try to avoid full blown negativity, they give one award to someone who really deserves it, and then another one as a popularity award

Oh, it's the 6th time Red Chillies gets the Special Effects award...and they have (again) created a new award just for SRK

Other movies were mostly multi starers. Not sure why Abhishek Bachchan got nominated .

Abhishek has definitely been getting a lot of critical acclaim for his performances in the past couple of years. So not surprised at all that he got nominated. Ironically the only surprise in that list is Kartik. I mean if he had to be nominated then why not for Chandu Champion which was a performance oriented character. Online speculation is Bhushan Kumar played a part here 🤷🏽‍♀️
