Despite throwing quite a few wickets we won 👏👏. It was far from clinical win. We should have definitely played much better. On NZ side few catches were dropped.

Last time we won the trophy in 2013. I tried to check scorecard of finals it was India vs England. But it shows 20 overs match. How ?

Plus as hardik and Virat both pointed out that previous repetitive failures made them learn how to win in crunch matches. We had lost to NZ numerous times in semifinal stages before but this time INDIA made the reversal .

So far , India were always the winning team but never a Champion team in ICC TROPHY.

That misnomer has now been erased .

Lost in the success script are many stories of failure and tears ..Two such events come to my mind

1. World Cup semis finals July 2019 against NZ when MSD was run out and as he left the stadium cried a million hopes

2. Cut to 19 Nov 2023 when Australia defeated India in Finals and Pat cummins said"" nothing more satisfying than hearing Indian crowd go silent ..""

Yesterday WIN was a sweet revenge and a tribute to the previous losses and to sweat and tears of all those who were part of it .
