Till yesterday burhan character is not needed now suddenly burhan is beautifully written character but the actor is not elevating it.

Apparently now potential marriage of fl with rapist is ok because the casting is good.

Aray nahin.. Burhan asked about the blood group.. Burhan went to his cousin's mehndi and supposedly (neglecting all other men) he was the only man there.. Burhan said 'pleasantly surprised' .. Burhan said 'you are looking damn beautiful' .. Burhan bought the house...aur bhi buhat saaray 'gunah' hain Burhan kai. Beautifully written thori hai Burhan.

First, Burhan is not beautifully written, secondly Usama is not elevating him .. soooo bari mushkil sai hi QeJ daikha jaa raha hai bas

Audience were also romanticizing 'Joe Goldberg' in 'You' so much so that Penn Badgley had to call it out openly that Joe is a stalker and a serial killer and shouldn't be romanticized/glorified.

Good looking villains being romanticized by audience is not a new phenomenon but this 'gaslighting' I think is new that oh no.. we are not romanticizing the character i.e. Ammar but praising the actor i.e. Nameer. How?

You are making romantic vms on Ammar and Nashwa.. you are wishing for Nashwa to get married to Ammar.. you are waiting and hoping that somehow, through some miracle Ammar will be redeemed. How is it praising an actor and not romanticizing the character?

Saying things like it is good casting because we have to connect with the "pair". Excuse me. Why we are supposed to connect with a pair where the guy is rapist? How it is not shipping of a rapist with girl when you are saying we are supposed to connect with them even though not root for them. Do people are really that naive to think it is just praise of the actor?

It is not an praise worthy thing for the actor or writer that audience are made to feel rapist scenes with fl intersting. Audience should feel disgust towards a rapist character. That is what good writing is.

Exactly. Isn't it a sign of a good actor that when he/she plays a negative character then they make audience hate that character? I don't blame the writer as much because the story is structured as non- linear or rather 'flashback' dependent, due to which there is a mystery surrounding that night's events. The writer hasn't declared Ammar to be a 'ra**st' outright but we have been given enough signals/hints/reasons to not consider Ammar to be a hero or at the very least be wary of him.

Look at it this way. People started hating Wajih's character when they actually saw those scenes where he ra**ed, beat and then threw Nayab off the roof. Suppose if those scenes were not shown and Wajih was shown to be taking Nayab to the stairs only and Saba was only alleging it till that point based on a few facts, then I think audience would have been divided over Wajih as well, which again would have been wrong.

But then that is what the issue is. So what if it has not been openly declared that Ammar committed the act or not? Isn't there enough information available for us to deduce that Ammar is not a good character.

Or chalo .. even if later it is proven that Ammar is totally innocent and faultless but still till 'this' point of time there is enough stuff available that casts doubt on his character. So why romanticize him at all.

Ppl are praising Burhan the character and not necessarily Usama the actor who is doing decent job so assuming ppl liking Usama wherein they are loving the character Burhan and want him to end up Nashwa

Even if people want to praise usama, why shouldn't they? He is really doing it very well here. I am not fond of usama , but that doesn't mean I won't appreciate when he's doing a good job here.

And, just because people feel nameer is hot n want him opposite yumna, is it going to change the fact that ammar as a character is a ra*ist n criminal? Burhan is a well written character and I believe it's well executed too.

I am sorry, but m not seeing any variation in ammar character as well. The only thing the dude does is taking drugs, screaming, getting thrashed by his dad n roaming around with his useless friends. The only reason people are loving him is because nameet is good looking. I agree he has improvised from his previous show, but sorry I don't agree that he is overshadowing anybody. You can't become a hero overnight. Everyone who are considered A-listers today have worked hard n have earned it . Yumna, sajal, wahaj, bilal etc have worked in smaller roles n then rose up to this level. M sure nameer will do very well in the coming years. But, just because some prefer him over usama , doesn't make him best.

And please, ammar isn't a "grey character", a ra*ist and a criminal is outright black.
