Aaahh! Now I get it! My English isn't shabby at all... but the fact that I had to rely so much on google was probably because of the antiquity of the words. I tend to read a lot of Crime thrillers, comics, romance novels, etc (and scientific literature of course) ... but nothing particularly historic. You're right though... I indubitably love this chance at expanding my vocabulary... so keep the archaic and vintage words coming .
