Nah. I don't think he wanted to reconcile because of RK. RK's matter didn't even come up in his conversation with Madhav. Which led to idea of reconciliation

well this how I see Madhav try to talk with Ar before their divorce hearing but he still went then he started witnessing RK Ab friendship and feeling jealous which is normal. Now again madhav try to talk and he still think Ab wronged VV but this time wants to give a chance so to me its only because he fear losing Ab forever. If there was no third person I am sure Ar would continue with his asmaan maa selection.

Yes I hated when he said that how can I forget what she did to Maa. But it is also a fact that he cannot live without Ab. As Ab said from his self consicious mind (dream), he is running away from the truth that RK came to her life now but their relationship was ruined by Ar himself before that. So this proposal was very much needed to make him realize his mistakes and he needs to know the fear of loosing Ab then he will realize how much he has taken her for granted.

Even Madhav thinks that Ab wronged VV. He even says that Abhira se galti hui, toh tune uska saath chod diya. But he would have never abandoned Vidya had she made a similar mistake, which I think is what triggered the reconciliations. Sticking to his words that ABhira is also his family and that you don't leave one family member for another.

Dream ABhira that was Armaan s conscience says the same. That RK came much latter, their relationship was already ruined by then by Armaan and his ego.
