For real though, that suicide pushing scene went on and on and on. It was uncomfortable to watch even if it was cleared up later that the pills were fake. I don’t blame her for telling him to just die when she realizes he’s trying to emotionally blackmail her but they focussed on the scene too much. In theory, I don’t take issue with the narrative. A guy who has victim mentality, never takes accountability and isn’t who he pretends to be , making fake threats to control those around him should be called out. The heavy focus on their conversation regarding the sleeping pills just made Sadaf look like a sadistic psycho. And then her showing sadness when he didn’t go through with it suggested that she really would have accepted it as a gesture of love.
This scene was very triggering n I honestly regret watching this show.Just a mth ago, there was news circulating about a 30-year-old man who was driven to suicide by a judge and his wife, along with similar cases that followed. It was horrifying to hear. So seeing this kind of storyline being normalized in the drama is beyond disturbing.I get that it’s fiction n I shouldn't take it so personally but if the antagonists were the ones involved,I’d at least understand it.But here it’s the female protagonist n that’s a hard pill to swallow.Your partner cheated so just slap a divorce in his face and move on!!!The last hour, I kept thinking about Sadaf’s character-her language n demeanor often reminds me of a bazaar aurat—is that how this character is written or is it Maya’s portrayal? I’m not sure but one thing’s for certain--I do NOT want to see this character riding off into the sunset with BA. Period.
