Anyway, after some good old-fashioned Googling, I discovered that those lines were actually written by the scriptwriter of Mohabbatein, where Jugal’s character says them to Kim’s character. But since I first heard them from Kartik’s mouth—and have never subjected myself to that god-awful cinematic experience—I choose to believe that those words were originally spoken by Kartik Goenka himself.
