C H A P T E R 3

Khushi opened her eyes when she found herself in a colorful room, exactly the way she wanted for herself. She looks besides herself and found that Arnav was sitting there on a chair, taking care of her. She smiled but tears rolled down from the corner of eye.

He couldn't unnoticed it and pressed his lips, while wiping off the tears rolled down, "Are you okay now?", at which she sighed deeply and nodded her head affirmatively.

"Doctor told me everything, why did you not had food properly?," he was angry at her a little when she gulped the fresh saliva formed in her throat.

She settled down properly with his help and he again asked, "Why aren't you answering?," and looked into her eyes.

She licked her lips and whispered, "I don't like to live at all", and chocked in between when he shush her keeping a finger on her lips.

"Shush! You always talk nonsense. Why don't you feel like to live, you have to live for yourself, for him and ofcourse for me," completing himself he pecked her forehead.

She smiled and closed her eyes tight, feeling that she was the luckiest in the world to have him, beside her.

He kept his hand softly on her womb and looked at the baby, "Do you know what bestie, how much I practiced to confess my love?," at which she looked into his eyes.

She was enjoying the moment they were into but suddenly she realised that, she has not informed him about the fact that she is pregnant and the father of the child doesn't consider, it as his.

All the colors from her face vanished and asked, "How do you..," but before she could complete herself he immediately told her, "kuch rishte aise hote hai Khushi, jinme sab kuch batana nahi padhta. Kuch samajh bhi Jana chahiye" and then wiped her tears from his thumb pad.

"You never ask anything, just understand and accept the way and what I am. How can you be so good," she threw her arms around her neck and embraced him.

He caressed her back, "this is what friendship is about," and then looked at her with smile.

He couldn't afford to confess his feelings to her, as he could easily understand, how difficult it is to accept him after a heart break. So he decided to not let her know that he loves her.

He was about to leave while saying, "let me bring something for you to eat," and controlled his dilema.

The same time he left the chair he realised a tug on her arm. He turned back and found her smiling, "You are so bad at hiding. Tell me kya kehna tha," and bit her laughter.

He was in dilema to confess or not when she again asked, "Why don't you listen to me?", and pouted.

"What didn't I?," he asked oblivious.

She took a deep breath, "Lagta hai mujhe ghutno par Jana padega," and taunted him looking at her womb.

"What do you mean," he frowned in confusion.

She chuckled, "I am just joking, tum to aise dar rahe ho jaise sach me pyaar karte ho," she kept laughing while looking at him.

"To kya tum pyaar karti ho?," they heard a familiar female voice when they looked at the person.

Her face was faded white when she looked at Anjali, Arnav's sister who has unknowingly touched her weakness. She looked down and he replied on her behalf to Anjali, "You ladies talk nonsense" and was about to leave when Khushi chocked in her thoughts, "I am sorry but I can't afford to love anyone, anymore"

Arnav was disturbed a lot. He knew very well from the day 1, that the girl with whom he fell in love was not interested in life and when he fell for her he didn't know.

But all he was thinking that if he could confess his feelings to her, how would she consider it, love, friendship or sympathy. He started living in worry for her even more. He wanted to tell her everything about his feelings for her but couldn't afford to lose a best friend too.

A month has passed when it was the time to visit the doctor and Anjali herself ordered Arnav to take Khushi with him, as she knew everything about the child and Khushi.

The nurse asked for the child's father name to Khushi when she was looking at Arnav, and wasn't not feeling well. She was about to fell down and Arnav ran towards her and hold her tight, "Khushi, are you okay,"

She nodded her head and said, "Haan Arnav", and this scenario the nurse considered Arnav as the father of the child and noted his name over the file.

She was in his arms and he embraced her tight when everyone started looking at them, but they were so into each other that they didn't bother.

After a few seconds, Khushi vomit and felt good. He caressed her palms and offered her water. She drank some and they get inside the doctor's cabin.
