I think I have read excerpts of this one long back. I don't remember much but isn't this the folk/tribal tale which glorified Lakshman more than any other character in Ramayan?
This might be one of the more fanciful versions of Ramayan I have ever read...
yes
it's a tribal version it seems

I have read only one. The Shathrugan and Shrutakirti one - the one posted last, I think. I am yet to read the rest. I have had a very tight schedule and hopefully it gets better after this month. The. Will have time to check out all stories and videos...
If I might be bold enough to tease...
Someone please hide this Ramayan from Swastik writers
there are many folk stories about the unsung couple
lakshman and urmila
he wakes her up from sleep after the exile
a beautiful poem is also there on the topic where she doesn't recognize him
he combs her hair
she use to draw beautiful portraits of their marriage and he use to praise her skills
saket by maithalisharan gupta
focused on the characters of sisters of sita

There are... I am mostly familiar with South Indian tales, not all but some of them.
The Gond tribe seems to be from Central India if I am not mistaken... They did live in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and other Central States (not sure which) and their language has Dravidian roots.
Some stories are very interesting to read but others seem very spurious.
