But his role was less and not that powerful it's just that people are feeling sympathy towards the character that he did something for the country and lost his life sort of emotional connection

No, his PR has gone crazy. Have you been on insta at all the past few days? Pinkvilla, Viral, Instabollywood, all of them have been saturating their accounts with pictures of him. It’s very obvious that it’s the work of his PR. Here’s a quick sample, and it’s been like this for a few days now.

It is so, so sad that a decently made movie with a national topic releasing for Republic Day is so o b v i o u s l y cheated by the makers (Jio Studios/Maddock) and the distributor (PVR Inox Pictures). They want a high number for the weekend but what will happen, if the r e a l WOM isn't favourable??? And it casts such a bad light on those involved.

This year will be a tough year in so many ways...

If the wealthy Papa pays for his son getting an overboarding PR, let him pay...no harm is done...and his son playing a national airforce hero is a good opportunity to make him known.

It's the future who will show if this campaign serves Veer in a positive way.

He is India's ex home minister's grandson. For context, Home minister is considered the 2nd most powerful portfolio after the Prime Minister in India.

It's the wording with phrases like "solid show of strength" and "witness superb occupancy" (which the movie hadn't) that make me think that he also became corrupt...sadly.

I disagree. I think there’s a lot of harm in this kind of PR. First of all if Reddit is any indication it’s already backfiring as everyone has started making fun of him. It completely erodes the trust between public and big social media accounts (we already had samosa critics, now we’re getting samosa paparazzi too 😆🤦🏽‍♀️) and media in general. And it may have set an obnoxious precedent, for lack of a better word. Going forward I can see some stars trying the same tactic of saturating Instagram completely with their own PR crafted videos and pictures for days or even weeks before a release.

I understand that PR is a necessity these days. But at this level it’s no longer PR. This almost looks like monopolization.

Oh, I understand your argumentation, but this kind of PR, paid Tweeters/YouTubers/Instagrammers/TikTokers and paid paparazzi isn't new at all. If it harms the respective actor/actress because of being overdone, it's their fault to let it be done...that's why I write that futur will tell if that helps (or backfires).

Sara Ali Khan will be the happiest if the movie is hit.
