""Gela madhav kunikade"" an iconic play was re staged and made a comeback few months ago . The play was over subscribed and housefull despite the change in characters ( Madhavi gogate sadly passed away ) . The veteran actor Prashant Damle after the play addressed the audience and said that the Play has withstood the test of time and became a hit because of its superlative writing and screen play by Shri Vasant Sabnis .

One more thing mind you the play still relies on the traditional BSNL land line as it's means of communication. There is no mention or trace of mobile or messaging through watsapp in its screenplay...And that is commendable

Yes, agreed. I recently watched his new play " Shikayala gelo ek " and it was really good mainly because of energy of Prashant Damle which really relates well with the audience.

Also another new actor Hrishikesh Shelar ( He is in ZM serial along with Shivani Rangle) has acted really well.

Recently saw " Shikayala gelo ek " and " Suryachi Pille" which is old play revived in new set ( Sunil Barve, Pushkar Shrotri, Anand Ingle etc.) that is also good.

Few months back saw " Perfect murder " ( Aniket Vishwasrao, Priya Marathe) which is a suspense thriller and is decent and " Jar tarchi gosht " ( Priya Bapat/ Umesh Kamat).

Good thing is in all those plays, theaters were almost housefull.

Vijay kenkre directed plays are mostly copies of english plays or movies. Like A perfect murder is a copy of hitchcock movie Dial M for murder. Still I would like to see Master Mind. Also 2 wajun 22 minitani. Sthal aale dhavun, etc.

2 vajun 22 min ne mazya aai ne pahilay. Tila avadla. She also loved Haravlelya pattyancha bangla. Sthal ale dhavun tila ok vatla. Nantar ivlese rop khup heavy ahe. If you can ignore Leena Bhagwat prancing about in a frock you might like the lighter part too.

Retire zalyapasun mazi aai bharpur naatka baghte. Tila khup avadta majority sagli natka pahili ahet tine
