No I can't appreciate dramas where leads barely hold hands. I want them to do everything and very quick without wasting time 🤣 and if they don't do it , at least show the romance properly or show something meaningful like go ahead or comedy like love like the galaxy ..

I'll still keep these shows in my watch list 😁

Finished you're my secret ..with a lot of ff It's the same template as love is sweet & my little happiness ..the leads were good so I kept watching for some reason ..I liked the supporting pairs more frankly , specially the office ones ..

It you want to watch non-costume setting try "The Trick of Life and Love". Its a rom-com and I find it quite underrated among all the shows I have watched till now.

Both the main leads are smart proMAX.

It has a huge supporting cast but all are likeable characters except for the 2 villains but they have limited scenes so won't disturb your viewing much.

Finally after what feels like decades I have finished melody of golden age. Since I started it it feels like all my hairs have gone white. It wasn't one of the worsts or annoyed me to my limits hence I didn't drop it. But I won't recommend it either except if any of the ML's die hard fan asks for a suggestion as honestly among all of his shows I have watched here he looked the best. But story wise he has done better.

Good : Pairing & Action

Rest even if were not worst, weren't good either. i.e. i didn't love the main leads nor cared for the supporting character nor hated the villain. No feeling for anyone.

Spoiler alert here :

1. The whole thing gave the feeling that the scriptwriter took one character or paragraph from many other famous dramas & made this underwhelming piece. Like everytime the ML enters FL's house gives flashback to Ling Buyi's visits in cheng residence. FL's spy messages to the PM were exactly like Yunxi's spy messages to Empress Dowager in "Legend of Yunxi".
2. Empress Dowager's character here looks like a diluted female version of the Nirvana In Fire's Emperor. But for the diluted part, just cause our ML didn't suffer the tragedy & trauma like the Nirvana In Fire's ML, doesn't prove this ED couldn't have done anything like NIF's emperor. It was never explored so with her line of decision making maybe she had done but no survivors.
3. Then the Villain's mom's story looks like the FL of Goodbye My Princess except here they made her go crazy.

+ Many other but the main point is despite taking bits & pieces from high octane unforgettable dramas they missed on the impact. i.e. they took biryani masala & made a tasteless khichri which might look good but they have even missed adding the salt.

ML's desire for revenge was equivalent to my enthusiasm while watching this. From the beginning you know who the villain is & yes he is the villain. Maybe cause I have watched too many costume dramas, I feel this villain with no known royal lineage or powerful backer from public or court was as powerful as a macchar. ML's over cautiousness felt extremely unnecessary. Couldn't help but think MLs like Ling Buyi, Xie Wei or Mei Chang Su would have got rid of him with a duster.

I had a good laugh reading this 🤣 and also it's fresh in my memory ..

The last 15-20 epis I dont know why they had it ..just finish the drama with 1 revenge scene and done ..they should consider 24 episodes for stupid dramas and 40 for nice dramas 🤣

What were the lead pair doing I mean ..such a directionless life ..ml was still ok compared to the fl then he joined the bewakoofi club midway and the story crashed ..
