Yeah u r right...the main reason for so much backlash and criticism is high expectations....Its very unfortunate that the only tolerable character of the show has the least screenspace and story is so messed up..

Forget Ammar. Sadaf vs Bilal screenspace ratio is same as Fari vs Junaid screenspace ratio in 22 Qadam. Even stories with imbalanced ss between leads do not have this type of imbalance. The Maya-Wahaj ss imbalance is same as we see in FL centric dramas.
