My Dearest Ghagra,

Do you remember the first time you tried to impress me at the festival? You swung a farmer’s hoe like it was a royal sword, then fell into a cart of marigolds. For a moment, I wondered if you were a fool or a genius. Turns out, you’re both—and that’s why I love you.

Life with you is like a comedy of errors that never ends. You’re the only person I know who can simultaneously trip over a root, scare off a demon with a sneeze, and call it “strategy.” And let’s not forget your epic battle with the “demon rabbit,” which turned out to be a very annoyed porcupine. (By the way, how’s your backside?)

You make me laugh when I want to scream, Ghagra. Like that time you tried to barter with the fire god by offering him more fire. Or when you declared war on a squirrel because it stole your “sacred bread.” (For the record, the squirrel still terrifies me more than Tarkasura ever did.)

But beneath all the hilarity, you have a heart bigger than the forest we wandered. You’d fight a thousand demons for me—or at least trip them by accident. You’re loyal, brave, and stupidly optimistic, even when the odds (and gravity) are against you.

I love you, Ghagra. Not just because you’re the funniest person I know, but because you’re the only one who can make me laugh, even when I’m kidnapped by demons or stuck eating forest roots for dinner. Never change—except maybe learn to aim better.
