While i do agree with you legal document being more officials, but a legal document could be made by some third person who made a mistake in spelling of her name, but the idea that this girl on her own engagement came with a board in her hands with a wrong spelling of her own name is just so hilarious.

Anyway as Meher said, makers made this blunder so audience are free to assume whatever name they want.
