Geo dramas have become unwatchable

What is wrong with geo?

Every show of theirs has 3 features now

1. First 5-8 mins of the episode are the repeat of the last two scenes of the previous episode
2. Flashback, flashback, flashback... What is said in the beginning of the episode becomes a flashback in the end of the episode
3. Pauses. The damn Pauses. Someone says one line, then we have a pause and we pan to everyone's reaction. Then another word and they reaction. 1 minute scene becomes 5 minutes

Every single of their show in the last 1 year, maybe even more, has followed this crappy template... As a viewer it's an absolute shiittt show.. Even ekta at her peak of dhoom-ta-na-na direction was not so bad.... At this point as soon as i see the geo logo i know the show is going to become crap

Geo is saving money. 30 episodes ke dailes ko 90 EPs me convert karte hai Kaddu uncle. 25 minutes+ of flashbacks and 5 min of new content in slow motions. Aur aise dramo ko 7+ TRP bhi mil rahi

I agree. I watched JN this year and regretted it. Also they promote misogyny. I dislike the channel. Though I liked Yahya, most probably because it was short. Kaddu uncle deserves to flop only.

I think this started during Covid19 . They have a reason then, coz they stopped shooting for new shows. But keeping it till now is unbearable.

I think GEO should consider working with another producers. It needs a revamp soon.

They are consumed by greed and don’t care about art. Not only is it annoying for viewers to constantly endure flashbacks and slow-motion scenes, but it’s also a disservice to the scriptwriters, actors, and others involved. They pay everyone for 30 episodes (for example) but stretch the content to make it 60. This approach magnifies every mistake made by the actors and writers.

I am glad TRP audience have started rejecting their content

Glad ki baat to tab hoti jab TRP audience content reject karti. But sadly their drama Tauba is getting 5-7 TRPs with 5 min of slow motion content everyday.

During Covid times their dramas became hit but in 2024 they suddenly become flop after khaie became hit although Tere Mere Sapne Did well rating wise but I'm really sad that geo is having their downfall this year but I agree with you they should bring another ph like showcase films and blue eye entertainment BTW geo already did the same thing before when their shows was mostly made by a&b entertainment

The good thing is that now geo dramas are not getting good ratings like they used to get in past. Audience got tired of watching same kinda stuff again and again.

They need to work on their stories and try to make short dramas with better storylines.

Yes. I too am happy because audience don't buy that crap any more. I hope they learn their lesson, and make a change. At least they can stop stretching their shows.

I miss those days when Geo gave us many beautifull romantic shows. A&B were good producers. But I think now they split. Babar Javed is still making dramas for small channels I think. .
