Hiii everyone..how are you all?
I know may be I am late to the party but I saw CID first episode..and left with mixed feelings..may be I was expecting a bit more but few things I liked and few things definitely could have been better according to me..
First of all it was so so nostalgic to see CID back on Tv screen after a gap of 6 years .a show that made my growing up a little more special and when I saw it again I felt as if it was never off air...Same excitement, same emotional connect with the characters.super good cinematography specially the quirks ,I remember earlier in my childhood whenever there was a door I used to feel the excitement and wait ki now ACP would say Daya to break the darwaja...and the excitement is still intact..
But then I also felt the episode is rushed .I mean " Abijit killing Daya because he was responsible for his daughter's death" is such a powerful and sensitive idea for all the CID fans, they definitely could have given it more emotional depth, dedicating at least 4-5 episodes to it..parts like, Beheroopiya, Abhijit ke ateet ka raaz, akhri chunauti .they are still so close to our heart because it expanded over multiple episodes and allowed us to feel the emotions, suspense..but here it was missing.. screenplay have always been the strength of CID..even when the stories was lame and predictable towards the end of season 1, screenplay still held it together most of the time..Here that was missing...I also would have liked to seen a more emotional moment regarding Freddie..
But but the best part has to be Mr Shivaji Sattam..omg at the age of around 75 after a gap of 6 years this legend came back exactly how he was before they went off air..He is looking almost same, the same agility, the same body language and same charm..as the ACP PRADYUMAN we knew..
So yes hit and few miss...but still it was great to see them back...I am eagerly waiting for the next episode as well
