I am probably late for the party but here is my 2 cents of knowledge over cousins and distant cousins.

Abhir ruhi abheera all share same great grandparents so they all are cousins regardless of who is their parents. If it's Akhilesh manish's brother's kids and grand kids they come under distant cousins category.

From birlas sides ruhi and abhir share the same grandparents and great grandparents regardless of the parents so they are cousins. While from birlas pov abheera is a distant cousin to ruhi as they don't share any grandparents or great grandparents that side.

Manish aur kp m se koi bhi iss layak nahi hai ki inke liye stand liya jaaye. That's why I am happy ki ruhi iss drama ka part nahi hai.
