Hira is the one who got maximum scenes with everyone in all these 19 episodes and there is no single stand out scene of hers which impacted audience with her acting unlike others. What a waste of screenspace . Amar khan was better than her even though she was in three episodes only. Her character became so worse and she became unbearable onscreen for viewers.

I am sorry but I couldn't relate to Humsha but Hira's acting wasn't too brilliant either...
The star of the show is Wahaj and I dont find other actors that good in his comparison.

Agreed with most people that Hira was also good in that scene with Wahaj by the pool. I think she was overlooked only because Bilal was going through so many emotions and Wahaj delivered it brilliantly. He had more to do than Hira. I don’t love all her scenes though
Maya has had some good scenes like you said. Her silent scenes are sometimes better than her spoken scenes I feel. Her bidai scene when she is at the car and sees her father had no lines but she did it very well. Maya's one issue in SMD is that her dialogue delivery is off -though I dunno if it's deliberate. It's very slow and the way she breaks up even short standard sentences and the pauses in between are really irritating tbh.
Also, while Maya is a competent enough actress, the ability to convey complex, conflicting, multi-layered emotions is not her forte. She can play one emotion well at a time. She can act vulnerable in one scene and angry in the next one but she cannot give angry and vulnerable simultaneously. In contrast, you can see Wahaj displaying a range of emotions in just one scene and has the ability to communicate multiple emotions through one look. Some actors can elevate a weak scene with their performance but Maya (like Haseeb) needs a well-written scene to deliver a good performance.
Issues like OTT breathy acting I won't just lay at Maya's feet because otherwise good actors are acting same here, so it could just be the director's brief.

I can’t understand what Maya is saying in this promo. That’s how awful her dialogue delivery is.
in this show there’s no comparison to wahaj in character wise and performance wise. His and zaviyar character were the good ones and performance wise wahaj outshined everyone.Originally posted by: kuhelidebbarma

Coming to hira she is worse in this show. she promoted her character so much as never seen character before and the result is what we are seeing now. The reason I brought up Hira because Humsha character is the one who ate all the screenspace in episodes or else we don’t even bother to talk about her. Last episode instead of her it should have been diwan saab with wahaj and the impact would be good.

I agree with the thing that Maya's dialogue delivery is sometimes off...she isn't as good as Wahaj....otherwise in emotional scenes Maya is not that bad..

But after her comeback she was really bad in PSM and Yoonhi ,so the bar was really low acc to me hence her performance here is not that bad here except few scenes
But I will say despite being not so gr8 ,Hira is better than Maya in SMD and she is definitely making more impact than her

Hira is no Sajal or Yumna but she is certainly a better actress than Maya. In SMD she is good when she has to act restrained. It’s the sometimes OTT stuff where everyone is bad , even Wahaj.
