After bringing a Naira lookalike Sirat and butchering Akshara gen3, I doubt there is any legacy being carried forward..! Legacy word ka tamasha bana diya hai makers ne..! Just to show legacy, they introduced gen4 Abhira who has no connect whatsoever to the legacy. Preethi Amin Akshara was not in gen3, this gen could very well be a standalone becos there is no tie except Manish and Swarna! Ruhi isn’t choti ruhi, Abhir seems to randomly pop up for trp sake and could very well be just Rudra who was like some frnd of Abhir before he died decided to avenge for his death.., what even left of Akshara and Naitik here!

Just imagine that Abhimanyu comes back, sees how traumatized Ruhi and Abhir are and gets to know how Akshu replaced his son like she replaced him pyaar vyaar sab khatam ho jayega

He will be Abhir's Dad and Ruhi's poppy and yeh dekh kar, Abhira will sing a song for him telling him "Meri family mein bas Papa ki kami thi issiliye meri mumma ne aapko mere paas bhej diya. Ab aap mere Papa ho, mujhe swikaar karo!"

It's hard to cast someone as abhimanyu. So i doubt if abhimanyu will come back. But if they want to reverse the damage which akshara caused to birla's and bring audience back who adored birla's they can show a track where in order to fix mistakes of akshara abhira will try to find birla's and gets to know all birla's are moved to US except manjari who is in ashram and waiting for her son to return. Abhimaan seperates and abhira meets manjari in that ashram and they bond with each other. Later manjari gets to know abhimanyu is dead and she goes into depression. Abhira ,ruhi and abhir join hands to cure her depression and manjari sees abhimanyu in abhir. Abhir communicating Abhimanyu's last words to manjari and manjari forgives all kids and becomes parental figure for them.
