But one good thing about llTG was that everybody stayed true to their characters till the end.. niao niao doesn't warm up to her mother & her grand mother till the end ..

Anyways. What do you think of the climax scene I mean the scene where niao forgives zisheng? I personally didn't like it , although I wanted them together badly ..on the cliff or in the burning house , he basically did it again..abandon her! you live I die kind of a situation ..yet she forgives him 🤨

Wasn't this the reason she broke up with him ?

Ps I read that the script writer of this show is the one who wrote the novel 🤩 that's why it was amazingly written ..I'll surely watch the one you suggested 👌

Yes the Tiger Tally theft was enough to execute anyone but he was god of war fighting 200 battles a year. His contributions could save his neck. And even if the emperor wasn't as doting on him as he was, he was still a benevolent emperor. Really reluctant to give death sentences to anyone like you see with Consort yue's brother. At most he might have been demoted to a foot soldier or worst case exiled to remote place.

But another option about his identity they didn't explore was them wondering where did the tally that was handed over to general Wang came from as it was also as original as the tiger tally & forged together with it & handed exclusively to General Hua. Emperor could easily identify it. Sure Ling Buyi handed it over to crown prince to give it to general wang. But when grilled by emperor about replaced tally crown prince wasn't evil to lie about the incident that Ling Buyi gave it to him to save his reputation. Now it makes me angry as I remember originally with this twin tally he could easily prove his identity but he gave it up cause stupid crown prince got Niao Niao involved in forging a fake one. May he keep suffering as nakaam ashiq in more than one life time

I didn't pay much attention to it excepti heard the emperor saying the one which crown prince posessed is fake ..i ff 2-3 scenes in between of other chars so i thought i mustve missed something there...the tiger tally given to gen Wang was huo family's tiger tally , he said there are minor differences so may be they caught up on that later ..I think niao's tiger tally didn't surface at any point

If that is the scene then I found that as the most illogical scenes of this show myself.. I mean yao's wife was heavily pregnant and when she falls from top to that pit in the bottom nothing happens to her.. Also zisheng emerged out of fire with just ashes on his face.. His hair everything was perfect with not even a single strand outside..

But she forgiving him, I would agree because he wasn't kind of abandoning her there, he just couldn't get out of the trap.. That yanji pulled him down.. Saving everybody, he couldn't escape he got caught ... That realization of loosing him again before her own eyes again triggered everything in her totally.. They had heart to heart conversation before that scene..

Yeah that scene ..I know it was totally ott & illogical 😆 the room was totally filled with smoke & fire , and he looked for another exit and came out before the explosion, it was funny..even the one after that, Guo village was stupid..I mean she said she wanted him to trust her ..but what trust was that? 😆 to jump in the fire pit & he should allow her to be stupid and die ? The overall message I understood & it was fine..she wanted him to shoulder his responsibilities & trust her completely, to allow her to be a part of his problems.. since the show was ending I let it pass..like he was a a general and he was also responsible for so much in the palace ..either she should learn martial arts & sword fight ..whatever..I wish those epis were written differently .

They did have a heart to heart before this but it concluded with them parting ways ..the way I see it is , and the reason I had a problem with it is that she didn't understand that he just couldn't let her die for him ..that's why he pushed her on the cliff & went down ..that's why he saved her first in fire escape that if someone has to die it should be him..on the cliff (carriage scene ) , he said he won't live if she dies ..so he also needed to get this ingrained that it's meaningless for her to live if he dies that's what upset her most ..

I dunno if I'm making sense here ..but this is how both perceived love but in practical situations it's different..his basic instinct was to protect her ; even if he dies ..she can't complain abt that

To be honest I didn't like the execution of the scene i.e. the whole hostage situation, trap door rescue, then Ling Buyi turning out to be fire proof & yao's baby made of rubber So much was happening, but not in a nice way. It seemed like someone was rushing to get over this somehow & they ended up doing it anyhow. (From what I know the show's airing was actually preponed, maybe the editing & shooting too + 10 epi worth footage was cut & there was a rumor of a director's cut version releasing with those added scenes but turned out to be a rumor only )

That was about the scene execution but as goes for Niao Niao forgiving Ling Buyi, I believe she had forgiven him long back. But like you said they remained true to their characters, Niao Niao was also a proud & stubborn person just like her mom. She won't even admit it to herself let alone say that out loud. From their break up, 5 years had passed & she spend those years in isolation in taking care of the wise empress. She had a lot of time rethink about what happened back then, she had grown up from being that 15 year old impulsive nibbi.

Remember when yao started pursuing her on her journey with 3rd uncle & aunt ? & they gor ambushed by bandits/rebels ? Yao staring away declared he will stay by her side & die with her & she scolded him instead saying something like "I am not going to die with you" & send him away to get help . So when she realized her true love & gave her heart to Ling Buyi she readily went for a "I die You die" condition. Yes her abandonment issues played a part but also this that to those at Nibba-Nibbi age phase the idea of "dying together" seems to be the max. bench mark as in a proof of true love and commitment. Or else Romeo & Juliet would have lived long enough to have great grand children & not die after a 3-day old love. And who knows they might not have even ended up together after 5th day

Coming back 5 years back, till that point Niao Niao never thought from Ling Buyi's pov neither she faced a life & death situation where his life was in her control i.e. he could survive only by giving her up or both die together. So she didn't know practically if its even possible to contemplate the option of willingly pulling your loved one to death with you.

During the 5 years separation she got that time to think & mature from that nibbi phase and realize this "I die you die" concept is stupid. But its not in her character to admit it upfront. She is too proud for that. But you see when the crazy dellulu chick attacks her & Ling Buyi & her are stuck in the dead lock situation on the cliff edge, she asks him to let go as no matter what she won't forgive him. She too couldn't pull him with her. Now she has faced the practical situation he was in back then yet she doesn't admit to it cause her proud & stubborn nature which crumbles at last on the badly executed scene where she faces the fear of losing Ling Buyi forever & the words on her heart finally finds their way to her mouth. Shooo...

p.s. please do watch that one. That's one of my absolute fav

Yap the makers didn't explore that option of emperor going through that replaced tally. He just knew Ling Buyi used the real tiger tally & deduced the one with crown prince was fake. He didn't inspect it which Ling Buyi could ask for to be inspected if he was calm & though about surviving & proving he was Hua Wushan.

Nope Niao Niao' tally didn't surface cause Ling buyi didn't allow that as that wont pass even the 1st phase of inspection, as the tally's are supposed to have hidden magnetic mechanism with Niao Niao didn't know about & will be implicated in treason for nothing.

Initially he didn't want to get involved cause he wanted to expose crown prince's incompetence & get him disposed. But fool's luck got Niao Niao involved. He mainly used the tiger tally at last cause he was going for suicide mission & couldn't die in peace with the fool still being the crown prince i.e. next emperor

So the tiger tally theft won't have ever been exposed if Ling Buyi didn't want to expose it or the emperor personally physically examined the replaced tally. No one would know that the tally has been replaced.

Also here is something I found today as I went to MDL to confirm something about post epilogue chapters I remember seeing long back. Posted long ago by a book reader.... this is the book version of the confrontation between Yao's SIL & Ling Buyi:

Worst was even after Yuan reminding them of the saving the poor new crown prince who might have already been ambushed, and waiting to be rescued holding his breath as a swords was swinging towards his neck in slow motion they had all the time to take a bath & freshening up before hoping in for the rescue mission

Yes yes.. It was funny as hell.. He was like if all your romance is done can we go save crown prince 🤣🤣 there was no logic at all.. Yanji trying to kill all of them had no logic in first place.. If she uttered she was pregnant her husband wouldn't have committed suicide in first place.. She was not quick to save him.. So many times ling buyi offered him to join palace but he refused.. He din't stand for himself .. That entire track was logic less.. I still cannot believe how heavily pregnant Yao's wife survived that fall and fire.. I'm ranting about it again and again..

The pregnant lady surivived And how did zisheng and niao niao didn't get killed multiple times ..that carriage scene was against the gravity Just let it.stop before it slips away but nai ..in Guo village the fire was put off just like that..I was also like..bandh karo ab bas !🤣 revenge and revenge on revenge went too far.. this lady could set.up this extensive trapdoor & what not stuff ..secret room which could not be discovered but his soldiers did that too in a nick of time
