I don't think he is trying to take revenge but more like trap her in a golden cage for himself.

Muskaan as a younger sister barely has any scenes and so I wondered if the writer is doing some foreshadowing and letting the audience know that trouble is ahead.

Instead of getting impressed, her friend Anila told the story of her cousin sister where the fairytale went horribly wrong. She wasn't treated well by the rich family she married into and in the end, she lost even her son in the divorce. Despite the best efforts of the family, they couldn't fight back against the power of the rich family. So what will happen to Mehru? Will it be a fairytale or a nightmare?

I think Saman Shah's original plan was exactly that, to marry her and probably not have a rukhsati, humiliate her and her family. Shahno's original revenge plan probably was this, to marry her, have a child with her, take her child away but I doubt this is the plan any longer.

I think Shahno wanted to clip Mehru's wings initially. He wanted to exert power and control over this girl who challenged him from their first meet. He probably right now thinks that is exactly what he wants still but the dynamics of their relationship has changed even though he hasn't realised it.

i agree with what you wrote about saman shah plan but I don't think shahnawaz revenge plan was that big for mehrunnisa that he'll marry her , impregnated her and snatched away her child from her , throw her out off his life it's sounding so silly he must be planned to marry her and leave her in her mother house before his feelings arise but now his intentions has changed he knows very well he is in love with the girl and from where I see he wants his brother case to resolve ,wants to win elections and more importantly he wants mehrunnisa for himself too but he can't go against his mother right now because no matter how smart he is, his mother was capable of turning the table against him so he have to keep his mother in delusion and have to take her in his confidence he must be promised her many think including giving divorce to mehru after zain got release but I have a doubt he will leave her .he was a territorial and self obsessed man who will be both denger and protecter for mehrunnisa inside shah mansion.
