Vaibhav Suryavanshi, at 13, is the youngest player to be picked at an IPL auction. He had made his Ranji debut when he was 12 and was more recently picked in the India Under-19s squad that played four-dayers against a visiting Australian side in Chennai. In the first four-dayer at Chepauk, he clattered a 58-ball hundred. Suryavanshi also scored a triple-century in the Randhir Verma Under-19 ODI tournament played in Bihar. Syed Hussain from ESPNcricinfo's Hindi team caught up with the teenager last month.
