Supriya is SO good. She brought out such intense reactions in me as ishwari without going over the top with her acting.

Ekta gets talented actors in her shows..even the side characters are good. Even in jhanak ..they have a good looking cast of lead and side actors and all,act very well. That’s why the side characters get so,much screenspace ..because they can carry the scenes..Dkp especially for rishta ..last 3 generations hasn’t been good in choosing side characters…some are ok..but some are very bad. Like karishma and pratiksha had important roles..of Arohi,and Ruhi and he chose new comers who really couldn’t do the job. Karishma improved..also,she was very pretty and Arohi,was a vibrant character,.so,viewers liked her. But her dialogue delivery for emotional,scenes wasn’t good..we knew if she had to be paired with harshad she wouldn’t be able to do the emotional, intense scenes..and luckily they didn’t go down that route..and here pratiksha had to be changed. As for the rest of Poddars ..they all are quite bland..apart from.phufasa..and kaveri. And Ruhi \rohit.

I do not think cast is an issue with rishta at this point. They are not putting enough efforts in writing characters or maintaining any kind of consistency. Sikandar, who plays manoj, for example is a REALLY good actor. But they barely give him anything to do. They even wasted the whole unemployment and alcoholism track on abhira ka dosh abhiyaan. Characters can only he interesting if they are supported by writing.
