We cannot blame either of the parties though. Different people deal with such a sad thing in differently ways. May be he didn’t want to talk about it but she chose to do so. Only mystery is if she really wanted space, why did she try to draw everyone’s attention with this announcement?

Well that happens every time a famous couple gets a divorce. Usually it's the woman whose character is scrutinised. Ofcourse there could be any number of reasons and cheating is one of them but like I said it's hard to associate him with that because if his image. The statement says she made the decision out of a lot of pain and agony. That doesn't sound like an 'amicable' divorce. Sounds like it came as a shock to her as well. Anyway hope things work out for them and their children

Not announcing it is not going to achieve anything. The news would make it to the press and they'd hound the couple at their home or wherever. They would even now but maybe she wanted to get the initial drama over with.

The article says public statement released by BOTH THEIR LAWYERS. So it is not just hers.

It is a common occurrence for public figures to release joint statements informing public of such things. Otherwise media will start hounding them and speculating what happened, why did it happen. So I suppose to avoid that they announced it themselves, though the speculation will still happen as to what may have gone wrong. Else someone would have found out and made a thread on Reddit.

They have maintained a very low profile so no one could have seen this coming. If she has wanted to wash dirty linen in public, to pehle hi kar leti. It is clear something big has happened to result in a divorce at this stage in their life.

I don't know what happened, but since when did bringing your spouse to parties mean you can't cheat on them? Anyways, relationships can break for a number of reasons, not necessarily cheating.
