Wouldn’t Abhira child be technically smaller looking as it’s premature and Ruhi one a normal size as she was in 9th month.

Exactly, this is what bothering me too. I mean how...how a 7 months premature baby gets mistaken as a 9 months baby? Isn't a premature baby rushed to NICU right after delivery? I know I might being overly positive but I have a kp in my mind. What if the baby in precap is ruhi's girl child? Then abhira's doctor comes in few minutes and reveals that abhimaan's premature baby boy is rushed to NICU but most of the time, the baby won't survive. Family will give up on abhimaan's baby due to pandit ji's prediction and will focus on ruhi's baby. Ruhi will be very happy. But abhira won't give up on her baby and armaan will stand by her despite not having much hope. One fine day, miraculously abhimaan's baby will survive. Poddars as usual will flip and give more attention to abhimaan's baby boy. This will make ruru jelous and think that abhira and her baby is cheenoiying her baby's haq and kalesh starts...

Phew...I know bhavna behen can't be this much creative instead of doing rinse and repeat. Tbh, I am just venting out. I will be pleasantly surprised if they follow a plot like this. Then I will accept, makers are doing kamaal...

If Nurse and doctor does gadbad in identifying which child survived then definitely they graduated from sadakchaap college or didn't went college at all.
