28 episodes in.... What's with Murtasim suddenly going soft on Haya?
mariyam jaisi hai; nah darling that girl wants to marry you and threatens your wife openly. Blames her for snatching her future when everyone with an eye could also see Meerub was backed to a point there was no other option.
My theory is that Haya is interested in the whole package called Murtasim Khan, she doesn't just want to be his lover, she wants those keys and ring and MK. Meerub even gives her a little hint what she needs to do to become that "khud ki izzat karwao, humesha available mat raho", "Khud pe kaam karo tumhari manzil tumhe mil jayegi, mere liye tum mukkamal aurat bhi nahi ho".
She is behen jaisi to MK or beti jaisi to MB. Not a real behen or beti... A real "yatim" so she wants a position of power and wants to belong somewhere unlike Meerub who has a foster father + real father (both have no another child other than her).
Her choice is Murtasim because he's a feudal lord, good looking hunk and a genuine educated man. She was groomed to become a submissive caring wife who'd put hubby on a pedestal unlike Meerub who'd have married an intellectual person on her level if given a chance to live her city life. She thought she'd be chosen as the wife of Khan, having the obedience that she does, she was sure of it! But she was lacking in what MK wanted in a wife, hence he never showed interest. Haya is the biggest conflict here for this story but in a cliched way so she'd stay until climax I believe.
PS: And honestly Haya you're not a good dancer!
i showed better agony when my mum forced me to dance in front of some relatives.
Murtasim a feudal lord, intelligent and having a moral compass (secretly romantic). He might not agree to the way of life Meerab had.... But dude wasn't blind, she was a catch and he knew! He was always interested in her. He was possessive even at the infamous birthday party, getting affected by her so much that she controlled his mood even before nikaah.... I believe MM always had a bickering relationship where they both got high from 'tolerating' eo. Meerab is what he wanted in a wife: a girl who was his equal intellectually minus the azad panchi... because that wasn't suited in the society he belonged. Only if Waqas hadn't taken her away to city life, if she'd grown as his neighbour: a little domesticated khush mizaz educated and not a azad panchi yet still somehow having a mind of her own.... man would have fallen in love, maybe even she'd have married him khushi khushi as she herself admitted. Ofc there was the angle of keeping properties in the family, MB understood Anwar's assignment.
But MK was never completely against the marriage to Meerub like he was with Haya, because he thought just maybe the girl who's lost so much and still doesn't want anything to do with his power would understand him and take care of his heart. He was giving her and himself a chance because if the choices were to be made from likes of Hayas and more Hayas... Meerab was better suited for him(Don't question the hopeless romantic in me
).... And then when he bought her back from Karachi... His eyes were softened, he prayed for her and was rejecting marriage only because she wasn't happy.; Suddenly her back answering him doesn't bother him much.... because he understands where she comes from. He would have turned into a puddle of goo had she told him "tum bure nahi ho, ache ho" in ep7
The guy was affected by her since from their childhood (nobody tells me otherwise, not even the writers
)
Meerubs character has shown least development so far. But she's adorable, cute and fiesty. She also has developed abandonment issues. I think law was her dream and until somehow she doesn't get to pursue it, she won't grow or even stay happily in that house, she won't open up until someone gives her freedom. I don't understand why she didn't advice Murtasim legally to deal with Maliks instead of bada chota logic she should've told him that forgiving would keep Zubair under his thumb and give him bigger guns than what his enemy has. You'd think twice before going at war with country that has nuclear weapons.... Also like that world's best scholar Tony Stark, the Iron Man said he'd privatize world peace for that gaon. I was disappointed with her there. She doesn't mingle much with anyone, I thought she'd try to form friendships with lesser than people or something. She wants to be stubborn but do it in a way that benefits you honey...🤦 This should've been first point in that shitty contract. How long did she assume it'd be sustainable anyway? Contract I believe is another point of conflict in this drama.
is s#2 supposed to be a continuation or a new story?
