I hope I can join you in your discussion.

I have mixed feelings regarding GHKKPM Season 3 for a lot of reasons. smiley17 Loved Shakti in MATSH, loved Bhavika in MS, and ironically was a huge fan of YHM smiley39 and more importantly IshRu smiley31 until Ekta and CO turned the serial into utter crap. smiley7

So it's difficult to sum up my thoughts, specially when I hated the way the channel and makers treated Shakti. smiley35 smiley7

But if I have to be completely honest, I'm genuinely enjoying this season. smiley20

I don't know if it's my bias for MATSH or not, but to this day, I feel Shakti looked the best with Radhika. Despite being a good actor, he could never recreate the same amount of chemistry with his other co-actors, who, by the way, are very good on their own. smiley20

IshVi looked good but not as good as the hype they had and obviously, I hated the forced love triangle which is Ghum's basis, unfortunately. smiley44

Compared to that, I feel Bhavika and Hitesh compliment each other very well and I'm enjoying how it's progressing. So far they have made some alterations and that makes this pair better IMHO. smiley20

Rajat's love for Sai seems very genuine unlike YHM. I am glad that Sai isn't treated as a consolation prize for Kiaan which I felt very often while watching the original. smiley21

Also, he has spewed some acidic words for Savi but his toxicity has been lowered to a significant extent to appreciate the character.

Am I annoyed that they are not showing enough progression? YES!

However, I think the current pace is not that bad after all. Because Rajat never belittled Savi to the extent the original ML did. Also, Saavi is a very different character. There is a sense of loss and loneliness in her and it would look weird if she emoted her current role as DT did in YHM.

Rajat has started to move on because Ashika was a b****. But unlike Ishita, Savi is still stuck somewhere behind because Ishan loved her truly and died while saving her. Obviously, it'll be different and difficult for her to take a step toward Rajat.

I know this PH is infamous for their toxicity but I genuinely want them to deviate because I don't want Rajat to be turned into a puppet in Kiaan's hand, nor do I want Savi to become a Jagatmata.

I want them to explore their dynamic properly, even if I'm wishing for the impossible.

So far, I'm enjoying them and I hope it remains the same way. smiley1

Welcome to our little thread smiley31

I didn't watch the show prior to the leap (season three) and I didn't see the original, and I have never seen either of them in any show, so this is my first introduction to Bhavika-Hitesh and Savi-Rajat. I'm loving them. Be it their performance or the script.

ITV always has toxic MLs and yes, they did tone down Rajat just a bit as the show progressed, I'm very thankful for that.

I'm really enjoying the show and how they are exploring the characters, I hope they keep doing it (fingers crossed).

I hope you keep visiting / commenting, we will have fun

Ganja giving back to back good episodes. Savi nd Rajat they are serving so good. They’re lit🔥🔥 and the height diff hits diff 😩 like, I’m all for that tall ML x FL 🙌🏼✨

I second your opinion...I too absolutely love watching Tall ML *FL trope...And Savi- Rajat has amazingly 🔥🔥 height difference. Savi-Rajat look perfect with that amazing height difference. One more reason to like this pair

Thanks Shaon! smiley31

I look forward to our discussion too.

I did watch a couple of episodes of Ghum Season 1. But then I watched Kusum Dola and to be completely honest, none of the protagonist's acting here matched their level, nor Ghum 1 dealt with complicated emotions the same way KD did. So I passed.

If you ask me, love triangle has always been a big NO for me. So I would never watch a show whose basis is forced love triangle.

I'm a sucker for parent-child bond and such other unconventional bonds. Still, did not feel like watching Ghum 3 because I was pissed off as a Shakti fan and YHM was an amazing show in itself.

But the clip where Savi falls sick and Sai cries frantically for her - it touched a cord and I decided to check all their scenes. Only then I realized Rajat's negativity has been toned down a little here.

I'd say Rajat is far from an ideal ML because I have seen the best of bests. smiley9 But yes, he has potential and if only the makers put 0.01% effort in developing SaRaj's relation - it would be wonderful. smiley27 smiley27 smiley27

I'm amazed & it's great to have a fellow MATSH & ISHVEER fan here, in this forum....😍I'm thrilled to come across two fellow MATSH lover in Ghum forum- you ROSH4ROSE....There must be many MATSH fans, when Shakti was there in the show, now max would've left..

I too was an ardent lover & fan of MATSH show...It was a magical show in the beginning....and such a memorable & magical couple ISHVEER were- they're unforgettable & phenomenal. ISHVEER had such a magnetic & killer chemistry. It's very hard for even Shakti & Radhika to recreate the same sensational chemistry with others, that's why I too couldn't connect with any of the Shakti's pairing with other co-stars, I tried connecting, but none of the pairs had the same magnetic pullsmiley36 Once in a lifetime couple, Ishveer were( I maybe exaggerating, but it is what it is) such magnetic pull they had

I watched MATSH, but I didn't have even the slightest idea of the existence of IF then, wasn't there on IF, So, it's unbelievable, at the same time enchanting to connect with fellow MATSHian in Ghum forum, becz I had lost hopes to find audience of a decade old MATSH show, becz even MATSH forum got closed a decade ago

But the way in which the journey of MATSH was brutally destroyed by EKTA PH, it was so heartbreaking to see its destruction that I & Rosh4rose vowed to never watch EKTA's shows. I don't even take a sneak-peek of her shows, becz all her shows are a dragfest & unbearable. Ultimately, they're gonna butcher . I & Rosh are adamant on my vowsmiley36

Another IshVeer fan! Hugs! smiley31 smiley31 smiley31

I won't say you are exaggerating because I feel the same way about MATSH too. smiley27 smiley27 smiley27

It was a beautiful show and I believe not a lot of people understand the actual depth of the characters or the love they had for each other.

Sure, Ekta destroyed it. But I still feel, even at their worst, Ishaani and Ranveer shone as individuals and their devotion only lay in each other. That was a rare scenario. smiley27 smiley27 smiley27

And,regarding Ishvi in Ghum 2, again I felt the same, you have just written what was there my mind since long, ISHVI weren't as good as they were hyped, but in this Social media world anything gets hyped & trended.. That's why didn't feel anything when ISHVI ended ,I felt highly disconnected to this pair becz it was a student- teacher relation, I highly condemn ITV tarnishing a sacred & purest bond of teacher-student they shared, & it's unacceptable to show a bond as sacred as that in a romantic light....it was very good on the part of Ghum makers to end the student-teacher pairing. It was distasteful to watch, no matter my Favourite actor was there in that role, Shakti will get better roles but I'll never accept fictional shows playing with GURU-SHISHYA RELATION. It's good it ended , becz it looked so immoral

Regarding Ghum 3, I also have mixed feelings, becz of it being remake of Ekta's show but if they're able to handle it well then it's good. Amd, Hitesh-Bhavika have clicked well & complement each other much better than the former pair, there's no controversial arc in Savi-Rajat's relation. I'm liking this pair

I too have similar complaints while watching YHM, there was several problematic things in that.

Ghum definitely did many things right, it has enhanced & handled many aspects better than YHM, in many fronts... Like toning down Ghum's ML to a greater extent & making him less vitriolic than YHM's. Rajat is bittter but not as much as OG...They have also showed his humane & softer & emotional side wrt his child Sai since start. They haven't made Rajat as unbearable, cold, rude & temparamental as Raman in the name of anger issues & trauma, People nowadays get too much leeway in the name of ANGER ISSUES & TRAUMA

And, Ghum has been always snail-paced in showing progression in lead's story, so we have no complaints as we have our minds prepared... Also, because Ghum's pacing right now is not that bad. They're currently jumbling up YHM's track, not showing it sequentially, but it's coming out good becz they don'twant fast progression b/w leads like YHM as Savi had a different & more traumatic past than Ishita....

So, Savi will take longer time to grasp & open up, as she has tightly closed the walls of her heart becz she has suffered huge losses, immensely since childhood. Her wounds are deeper & brutal

Tell me about it. smiley36 I was even pissed that they picked up the name IshVi as I was constantly reminded of IshVeer. smiley19 smiley19 smiley19

I was genuinely happy for Bhavika though as she got a chance to prove her talent but never was interested in triangle. Specially when Reeva-Ishan made more sense from whatever I have read on IF.

I'm glad that you agree with me on YHM as well.

I won't deny that's a cult show. KP and DT were exceptional performers. But the truth is, it's because of them that the show survived for so long. While Raman was a very realistic character at the beginning, makers turned him into an a**hole long before the first leap occurred and Ishita was running behind practically everyone but her kids.

I am less concerned about the sequence of the tracks. I just hope they show a gradual progression logically.

If only the makers have the SADBUDDHI to contemplate, in YHM, Raman needed healing. But in Ghum Savi might be the worst victim starting from her parents' death to losing Ishan. She's the one who needs assurance more.

And I loved the scene where little Sai told her no one could make her cry, including Rajat when Savi asked her if she really loved her that much.

This intricacy is making me appreciate Ghum these days.

I just hope it remains the same way. smiley1

I'm also a huge fan of MATSH. I feel that Shakti looked his best in that show and also had the best onscreen chemistry. They were something else smiley27

Skipped almost all of the mahasangam to get a glimpse of our duo and confirm that yes, Savi did wear the necklace to this event. They even had a little scene, it was cute ❤️

By the way, about the episode precap, isn't it too soon for Savi to return Rajat's gift with a Gujarati speech? It wouldn't have the same impact if it is done this soon. Of course, Ghum promos are always misleading.

Sending you virtual hugssmiley31I am glad to find ISHVEER & MATSH fans

That will always remain unique about them- their undying PASSION, devotion, loyalty & deep love for each other...their emotional dependance on each other... Everything was magically precious about them. They were indeed a RARE ONEsmiley27
Totally agreed, not everybody understand the actual depth of Ranveer's character- his unrequited deep love, his misfortune, his pain. Everything was breautifully crafted esp. Ranveer's pain & Ishveer's love
