Yes it's exactly that. And also wahaj 's words about plotline that it's all about realising - shadi sahi hui hai, pyar galat hua tha.

Means he was talking about Sadaf's character and not himself. This is what I was trying to decode earlier for which character he says this

It's pretty clear from Wahaj's dialogues. He loves her and she doesn't. So it's an unrequited tale of love
