yes, it did go downhill, South, such a downgrade from the original story
the TRP game they were able to still come as number 2 due to the parallel track of Jhanak dance show and Mumbai track.
Otherwise after Ani chose Arshi no one would watch that show again because they would have ruined divine connection if Jhanak stayed in Kolkata and did not pursue her career aspirations
