Who knew 20 yrs back that the world would shape up this way. At least I didnt. I imagined all these were gonna remain a joke whereas things would drastically improve for women. But sitting at 2024, we still have to deal with major safety issues in metro cities like Kolkata, Delhi, forget about small towns.

While it was callous and insincere for him to say all these, I am sure he didn’t think that even in so many years down the line it’d still be ‘men will be men’ crap .

I am afraid people are reading too much into it. But yeah with how some of the boys are turning out to be monsters, these kind of jokes also come across as tone deaf but it was said 5000 years ago so let’s give the man some grace?
