It's more faulty writing for shock value than actual storytelling. This show uses consent, emotional, mental and physical abuse for ratings and views or the writer is plain dumb. If you watch future episodes, you might see.

Disclaimer: not a numair hater or moiz lover, i don't ship any ship

Agreed that for PTV (and also ITV) dramas, the way to get TRPs and YouTube views is to have shock value by mostly showing insane abuse on women. The crying mazloom and physically/mentally abused aurat brings in the views every time.

all of the Geo hit shows like Shiddat , Jaan Nisar and the soaps and many others. In Shiddat - Asra goes through severe mental abuse by Sultan only to be united with him in the end. In Jaan Nisaar you see Sarfaraz push a pregnant Fiza who loses the baby - and then she is encouraged to give evidence to the police that she fell down and it was her fault. In Noorjahan there is dialogues saying " Women's fault to bear girl child" and Hunain pushing Sakina who loses her baby. And there are many more such instances like this in all the dramas.

In the case of Jafaa ( the meaning of Jafaa lis close to 'Zulm'), a teenager is forcibly married to a 35+ doctor. As a result she commits suicide and her own parents refused to have her in the house. Imagine if Numair was the regular repulsive GEO lead, who knows he might have forced himself (because it's his bloody marital right to have sex with his wife) on Deebu bringing her even more trauma. We have a doctor , successful who's is about to be abused by her husband.

Fortunately Numair turns out to be a sane and good man and that is why his basic human kindness is making all viewers to say what a great man he is. The Ptv viewers are so devoid of human kindness being shown to women that even the most basic humanity is heralded as a "Green Flag/forest".

Example - Farjaad saying to Umeed "Do you want Roti ?" , Numair saying to Deebu "Meri Biwi bahut acchi hai" or trying to get her to stop crying and eat a sandwich or a Salaar supporting Emaan ....all of these ML make viewers swoon. WHY WHY WHY ? It should be normal to care about your wife.

We Desi women (irrespective of India , Pak, Bangladesh) are so starved of human affection by society in general and even in dramas. you should see the comments section - Women say "there is no Farjaad in real life" "There is no Numair or Salaar in real life" . It brings me to tears. We are so deprived , even we are not aware of it most of the times.

So Sorry for the looong post but I am watching Jafaa because I personally want to see what happens to Deebu and Zaara . And if they even get a little happiness I will celebrate .

More power to women. and Down with all the atrocities against them.

I think this drama is different from those full toxic dramas. Here, father is regressive, but he is also protective. If he was just regressive, he would've married his daughter without any inquiry to anyone in anger, but he did inquiry here whether Numair is good or bad. After what she did, he lost trust in her. He should've trusted her. Parents should give the child a second chance after the first mistake. But here it didn't happen. Also, we don't see Andaleeb trying to convince her father that she only loved Moiz and she won't do such things abroad, so please send me abroad for studies. There was a big communication gap between father and daughter.

I'm watching Jafaa for only Sehar Khan. I like her acting & so I'm taking interest in this drama otherwise I'm not the fan of love after marriage stories.

Honestly in the show would have been more interesing had numair was shown toxic and then Andaleeb life gets worse after marriage while moiz gets jobs and have good life something like maan mayal and parents regrettingt their decision of marrying their daughter in haste. Now that Numair has turned out to be good parents deeds will be justified in the show.

Numair was unlikely to turn out to be a bad guy, as he was a good person from the beginning of the drama. In the upcoming episodes, Andaleeb will do Jafa (bewafai) with Numair, and Hassan will do more Jafaa (zulm) on Zara. How Numair and Zara will handle those situations remains to be seen.
