Mehndi Wala Ghar: Episode Discussion Thread #5 - Page 55

This is probably the first time that I've actually muted and skipped Janki ma and Mauli's scenes. Honestly I've just had enough of them. I've heard the gyan 1000 times and I'm tired of it.

Two shining moments in this episode that I'm glad we got without Janki and Mauli involved. The first being the conversation between Tanvi and Vijay. Finally they are able to talk about this accidental pregnancy and no surprise they have differing viewpoints. Is this a shock to them - yes. Are they both responsible - yes. Is this a decision they need to make together without anyone's interference - yes. Vijay doesn't want to have another child and it's most likely due to already having three grown children. Tanvi is probably in the same boat too but she's now been blessed to be carrying at this age. She's confused and doesn't really know what to do but her heart doesn't want an abortion, and I'm glad she stated that. Keeping a child by force and getting an abortion by force are both wrong. This needs to be a choice. It was nice to see the differing viewpoints without the annoying gyan because people actually got to communicate and express their feelings without fearing being gaslit.

The second highlight is Rahul. Rahul clearly is still not on board with his mom being pregnant but he's got a heart and can differentiate between being upset at someone while at the same time genuinely caring for them. While Tanvi struggles at this age Vijay refuses to help, but Rahul will. He knows it's the right thing to do - regardless of how he's feeling. Tanvi notices this and there's a little proud feeling and comfort smile from her. She knows Rahul is upset but being her son he'll always be there. This isn't a big surprise, we've seen this side of Rahul when he fought the entire house for him and Mauli. He'll gladly pick a fight with anyone or be upset, but will still treat everyone with the same level of respect. Rahul, you are truly one of a kind. What I loved most about him was him trying to confront his dad and laying out absolute facts. He laid out perfectly that this pregnancy is due to Tanvi and Vijay not being careful so BOTH need to figure this solution out, not just his mom. He wants his father to take accountability and "man up" to his responsibilities. Bravo Rahul 👏👏

This entire thing better wrap up tomorrow cause I'd rather have a peaceful simple episode on Friday.

This may be my final stray thoughts post so here we go:

- That red/orange saree Mauli was wearing was not flattering at all. This was a miss on the wardrobe side.

- A word to Madem Mauli, Rahul is not confused - he's human with his own thoughts. He does know right from wrong, because if he didn't he wouldn't be banging on his dad's door demanding he help his wife. She's only upset that Rahul has not agreed in a heartbeat, get used to it girl!!!

- Jyoti is the absolute sweetest!! The smartest and most sane woman in the house. Oh how I wish they'd pass the matriarch to her.

Lastly just today my mom told me how stupid this show has become (she knows it's ending). Her words "the story was going so well, what is this stupid garbage they are bringing in". 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ The only thing I could do was laugh.

Right then last two days of the show and I am bringing my one of the final question to you guys to discuss.

What is the one/some things you would change about this show if given a chance?

Agreed with all your thoughts and I posted the same about it why all this non sense drama they had to bring in the ending but we can't argue with ITV logic its beyond our mental sense so here we are.

The episode begins with everyone being shocked after Dumbnoj revealing the truth. Mohalle ki aunties start questioning SS devi who seems embarrassed about it. They laugh some more & leave. Dumbnoj leaves, Mauli follows & confronts him about the revelation. He tries to distract her but she doesn't budge so he reveals that it was SS devi who asked him to reveal the pregnancy news. (Busted too soon dumbnoj). Mauli is shocked. Meanwhile in the room Vijay & DW discuss the pregnancy & Vijay asks her to get an abortion done. She refuses, but Vijay is adamant. ( atleast they had a discussion good). Rohit trying to Apologize to Golu but he ignores him & leaves to get some stuff as told by cutie chachi. Cutie chachi tells Rohit Golu's fav ice cream flavour giving him an idea to convince Golu. Both share a hug.0

SS devi is singing a song in her room, Mauli enters & questions her about this brilliant move of revelation. She refuses to pay any heed to her & asks her to leave. Mauli leaves, ordering smthg from a pharmacy, SS devi is suspicious. Mauli receives a package & takes it inside, SS devi follows her. The package was of papayas which Mauli cuts & takes to DW. SS devi stops & confronts her regarding her actions. Mauli states its for DW's abortion, SS devi rebukes her & they have a convo which reveals how SS devi was faking being against DW so that she could understand Mauli's value ( utterly stupid). Mauli reveals she knew & both share a hug & leave, this is noticed by Rahul who's amused. ( rightfully).

DW is carrying some stuff starts feeling dizzy, this is noticed by both Rahul & Vijay. The former gets worried & goes to help her while the latter is unaffected. DW is happy seeing Rahul's care ( this guy is really smthg else ❤️❤️). After leaving DW in her room, Rahul goes looking for Vijay so as to confront him regarding his nonchalance. He meets sadi chachu who reveals that Vijay is in his room. Rahul comes outside his room & rightfully calls Him out to own upto his actions & not blame DW only. The other 3 brothers & bheegi billing dadu too enter & try to convince Vijay. All of this is noticed by SS devi & Mauli. Mauli says we've to make Rahul understand as he seems confused ( girl shut up will u we know u don't know him there's no need to keep proving that. He isn't confused at all just trying to come to terms with this). Episode ends.

I know I'm late sorry for the same. Blame the crazy discussion we had last night 🤭🤭. Just a filler episode with all the nonsense talks & some sensible talks as usual from the only sane & sensible member Rahul Agarwal. Do share your thoughts guys.

Same here I'm glad both atleast talked it out inspite having contrasting viewpoints.

There's reason we call Rahul Agarwal one of the best MLs & he keeps proving us right every now & then. Him always being sensible & genuine has my ♥️♥️.

Exactly he's just taking his time to come to terms with things. But u know that's the problem with her she wants everyone to just blindly agree to her without having any thoughts of their own. A big red flag trait.

Is that even a question to ask. The one thing I'm sure unanimously the whole FD would want to change is Mauli's ATI Mahaan, toxic positive nature. 😂🤣.

Exactly ITV logic never makes sense most of the times so better to watch without much expectations.

( Is aurat ko har baar itni attention kaise mil jati hai. She doesn't deserve it). Vijay about to take DW to her room but Mauli says she'll take her & whispers in DW's ear she has to tell her something. They leave.

In the room DW questions Mauli, she reveals that her primary symptoms indicate she's pregnant ( ghanta primary symptoms koi basic indication tak nhi tha). DW asks her of she's a doctor or a comedian ( wow I never thought I'll enjoy her dialogue 🤣😂). Mauli says they'll have to confirm it & then goes to get a pregnancy test kit. After sometime Mauli entering with the kit but is called by cutie chachi, DW goes to take the kit but is stopped by SS devi who asks her to go for some work & she leaves. SS devi checks the bag & finds pregnancy test kit & assumes Saloni is pregnant. But gets confused seeing IS, cutie chachi & Mrs. Furniture craving for aachar ke parathe. ( God the look on her face 😂🤣). Meanwhile in the room the pregnancy test says it's positive, Mauli is super happy ( is this girl fr 😣😣 aur ye kaisi Dr hai jo ek test kit ke results pe rely kr rhi hai. Useless). DW tensed. ( Chalo relatable to hai).

In the hall discussion happening regarding the pregnancy kit among the ladies, SS devi is embarassed at her thought. The men enter & Vijay says it's their age to play with grandkids ( uncle harkatein to kuch aur keh rhi hai 🤣😂) & indicates the same to Rahul who's blushing ( aww so cute 😘😘) & Vaibhav too. All the conversation is heard by DW & Mauli. DW leaves & is washing clothes & thinking about the convo inside, being realistic. Mauli enters & asks her not to strain herself. DW refuses. Meanwhile Rahul looking for Mauli to reveal what the family members r talking about them ( boy is in for a rude shock). DW says she wants to abort, Mauli trying to convince her against it, but she is quite firm. Mauli saying she's very happy about it, at the same moment Rahul enters, questions her why she's happy. She somehow distracts him & asks him to take DW away to rest. He does so, DW returns again & asks Mauli to abort her baby or else she'll go to some other DR she agrees.

In the clinic Mauli checking a pregnant lady, DW enters, Mauli gives her a tablet to take. She's about to leave with the pill, Mauli doing Doppler test of the woman & asks her how she feels, the lady says blissful & all that. ( Mauli & her ways of gaslighting 😣😣). DW is emotional hearing it but leaves. The lady too leaves. DW enters & pleads Mauli she doesn't want to abort & does drama. Mauli reveals it wasn't a abortion pill rather some normal gastric pill. DW thanks her & calls her bhagwan ( 😂🤣 like really seedha bhagwan😂🤣). Both share a hug. All of this conversation is heard by SS devi. (This lady & her habit of overhearing).

SS devi reveals the news to everyone. Ladies except Mrs. Furniture who rants about already lot of members being present in the house ( kya din aa gye hai ye bhi relatable lag rhi hai 😂😂) & Sadu chachu & Manoj r happy. Rahul, Vijay & SS devi shocked ( very normal). DW & Mauli enter. The ladies start fussing around her, Vijay irritated screams & asks them to shut up saying this is nonsense. Mauli thinking what will be this baby's fate. Episode ends.

Precap: Teej celebrations going on. Manoj back in his dumbnoj mode drops DW's pregnancy report & asks Mauli to pick it up infront of everyone revealing the news to mohalle ki aunties. All r shocked.

Medical science ka katal krne wala episode. Are bhai thoda to realistic dikhate diagnosis ko aise hi na sar na pair pregnancy confirm 🤣😂. DW ne jo flip mara 😂 🤣. Seedha manhus talakshuda se bhagwan 🤣 😂. SS devi ka chupke logo ki baaten sunna. Bas galti se Rauli ke room ke pass mat chali Jana budhiya suhagrat Wale din 🤭🤭. The less I say about Mauli's reaction the better. Overall a laughter riot. Waiting for tomorrow's episode to see Rahul's reaction. Do share your thoughts guys.

The funny part of the episode was the kit and the craving of bahus for accharwale paranthe..thankfully SS devi didn't have that. The makers of the show have very conveniently changed Mauli 's specialization from an Ortho to Gynea/ Obs.
