It is extremely worrisome and unfortunate to see the world still being divided based on religion, color, minority communities etc.. specially when we take pride in saying we live in a progressive world and 21st century smiley13

They are the citizens of that country.

Their ancestors had been there for hundreds of years. Why shall they leave? Letting go everything that they have?

Can we have otherwise the population exchange done now?

Yeah.

But I really hope that it doesn’t become the exact replica of what occurred in 1971 or when BNP was in power later on.

The stories of atrocities are extremely disturbing to hear and read about.

It is becoming 71 now. Completely a dark situation.

People are crossing border for India

We need someone like Indira now

What certain cultures say is different from what they do. Practicing what we preach can be very very difficult.

Beautiful explanation, and one has to certainly agree, but at the cost of losing their precious lives?

They will descend again to express deep concern over the rising intolerance after the next Indian state elections...this time with extra sermons on constitution (without reading it).

Where will they go?

I am a bit involved in social media and have few Pakistani Hindu friends. He told me that he wants to come to India because it is becoming unbearable for him, but is afraid as to what he will do here? He doesn't have land to stay, no source of income (Indian government doesn't recognise most degrees taken in Pakistan)

If he comes here, he fears to die by hunger and homelessness..

Things are not that easy as we think

This ^^

I am very disheartened today. Donated every month for Palestinian women and children to various organizations whatever little I could cause I always thought humanity above everything....but I forgot that's not true. A certain community only cares for their own. I was a fool to think otherwise for a second.

I'm sorry! But are you being deliberately insensitive? It's not easy to leave one's ancestral home amid a hostile environment. What's their fault anyway? Following the native religion? And what do they get once they manage to leave? They live miserably like rootless immigrants who aren't eligible for most local jobs and could be deported anytime. Just look at the misery of Pakistani Hindus.

This thread is distressing and disturbing when you read more and more.. I cannot even imagine what people must be going through.. I really wish politicians here just shut their mouth and cooperate with the government.. What is happening in UK is no less.. riots there as well.. It must be challenging for new government there as well..
