They are comparatively better but I don't support characters based on who likes the female lead the most. I like her, and i don't care about others characters opinions lol.

And yes, answering your question- poddars are regressive, atleast out of the four generations of yrkkh, I find them to be too regressive. I feel like I m watching a show in 1920s.

She is the most regressive, no doubt, but in today's time showing a family like goenka or actually a birla would have made more sense (though i dislike both) , poddar family comes straight out of 1800s era , where woman don't work outside etc. it doesn't fit the timeline.

Others might not be as regressive as her, but there is definitely internalized misogyny. Poddars are good for drama, audience might like them, but I just can't wrap my head around.
