GM did get a trp of 3.8 in week 1 and a trip of 2.5 in week 3 but since then the max trp it got on any episode is 1.8 (e4, e13). This means that some of the trp audience that checked out the show's initial episodes did not continue with it later (YT #s tell a similar story). But even if you look at trp of previous Green shows like Kabli Pulao and Nouroz, you will see the bandwidth to get trp higher than what GM gets now (though maybe not as high as shows on the big 3) is there. Kabli Pulao got trp as high as a 4.1 in early days of Green, and both Kabli Pulao and Nouroz got trp of 2+ on 58% and 50% of their episodes (vs 14% for GM [thus far]).

These days GM and Dil Maane Na (also on Green) are getting similar trp though GM is very likely a much superior show. GM got 1.8 and 1.5 trp last week for average weekly trp of 1.65. Meanwhile, Dil Maane Na got trp of 1.7. However, GM is more successful with YT viewers than the trp audience. I would say YT views-wise, GM is probably Green's second most successful show after Akhara.

As the story has picked pace esp with the 2 epi a week format, the trp and yt picture may yet change. So my analysis is only limited to episodes aired thus far.

So , it could be that the theme of gangs, and a strong woman didn't click with TRP aunties. And I hope you are right and the TRPs picked up because of the 2 epi per week formula, and once the romance between leads begins
