What about the below as a plot twist:

When Vanraj took Anuj to the cliff, he actually killed the original Anuj and brought a lookalike back who'd do all his biding. That's why the lookalike said that Vanraj tried to save his life instead of killing him. And then kept doing chamchagiri of Anupamaa and Shahs throughout. The objective was to control K empire. And the rare moments when the lookalike spoke out were when he went out of character. But Vanraj couldn't control one factor. The lookalike also fell in love with Anupamaa and started simping for her. When matters came to a head and Anupamaa chose to leave, there was no use of the lookalike simp. So he was directed to sell the business, go abroad with Aadhya and give all the money to Vanraj who got rich. But he kept pining for Anupamaa and lost his senses when he saw her again in Amreeka....

The theory is based on the simp being majorly pathetic after the cliff accident barring a few instances. This was a big change in personality from what was shown earlier during his entry. Thoughts?
