Makes sense. KR is popular. With Saranya being given more scenes, even S-TM is also being highlighted. His role does not have much scope. Though I like Venkat, right now I am more unhappy with Venkat playing Senthil than I was with Hema playing Meena with Vasanth. It feels like S1 and I do not want a repeat of it.

No offence to Venkat's fans and fans of Season 1. But what made S2 different was fresh casts and dynamics. The 3 brothers were perfect for the role. Now that they brought in Venkat, in any angle he does not looks like a younger brother to Saravanan (in real life Saravanan aka VJ Kathir is one of the youngest) and looks way older than Kathir. And if Venkat really wants to be in the mainstream acting field, at least he could have gone for work out and maintain a proper body. In the promo of him standing with a singlet, he almost looks like a pregnant person.

Also people have seen Hema with Venkat for years. Could have brought in someone else as Senthil even if Vasant left/fired.

Though KR is the popular pair of PS-2 , all their scenes end abruptly, there is continuity and its been 6 months, audience don’t know what Kathir thinks of their relationship. It is clear that he is only doing everything fir Raji to fulfill his Kadamai, Kanniysm, Kattupadu, Karisanam Motto FLAMES track has been abandoned, the writers didn’t show her reacting to that paper’s loss. Kathir is also not talking about. When Raji got to know that Kathir is now using Palanivel’s cycle to deliver food, she became emotional and episode ended there. I thought there will be some conversation in the next episode i stead they showed 10 mins of TM’s oppari to Saravanan about going to honeymoon, after that it was the next morning in the episode.
The story flow, closing the loops, editing, importance to each pair has been botched big time in this scene. Tracks are abruptly abandoned and serious promos on KR, Meena end up in comedy. Only TM’s character’s concerns are seriously pursued and dramatized in the show. Others are treated as slaves of Pandian. It is easy to watch the episode in 5-10 minutes these days by skipping and forwarding the scenes and that’s exactly what I do. I am not enjoying KR scenes, its the same rinse, repeat and recycle formula they are following.

Exactly, I also wondered what happened to the Flames. Last week all the serials had a second promo except PS2. Its also been a while since we had solo promo on Kathir and Raji. Nowdays in almost all the promos must have TM. In today's episode, there was a promo material scene between Kathir and Raji going on bicycle. The makers also know that their promos trend. But decide to show Venkat's entry as promo. But finally after so long we are seeing Kathir and Raji going together to college scene. Too bad this scene didn't make it to the promo

IMO, they shouldn’t have gone for Hema Rajkumar at all as Meena. They should have found another popular actress or a new girl for Meena’s character too. Retaining Stalin was fine ( I don’t think he is an great shakes in acting, half the time swallows his dialogues🙄), should have gone with 3 fresh ML and FLs which they did with KR and ST but ultimately ended up with JM as SM. Nirosha again is a misfit for this character, neither like the character nor like the acting.

This must have been the first episode in several days TM was not shown. It was a relief not watching her on screen I can’t stand whiners, cry babies and most importantly snitchers and she is all that and much more I wish didn’t see Pandian and Gomathi too in the episodes. Both are as annoying qnd cringe as TM.

Too bad she is back again but guess with her going for honeymoon, we may not see her much i guess since she also had a leg injury in real life. Lets see if they spare us her scenes 😃

I've not watched PS1 but based on what i seen Hema in PS2, she is a good actress and her natural acting makes people laugh. Before TM's entry, Meena was shown given so much of importance and she has a say in everything. But after TM's entry, the focus seems to have shifted on TM. Meena has always had more scenes with Gomathi and Raji during Vasant's time. Lets see if its the same or she ends up having more scenes with Senthil after this

Hema is a good actress no doubt about that. Infact I really liked Jeeva-Meena pair of S1 and watched the show in its entirety for all those 5 years, What I am saying is that when they selected new faces to play sons and DILs, they could have gotten someone else to play Meena as well. Meena in Season 1 had few similar traits to Meena in Season 2. Meena in Season 1 dud plenty of comedy with all the characters along with being feisty as well. I feel many of her scenes being repeated here. Now that Venkat is playing Senthil, I am afraid Senthil- Meena will become more like Jeeva-Meena. Since Venkat’s entry yesterday, I am already feeling a change in Senthil’s characterization. Infact I really like Senthil-Kathir’s scene in today’s episode. They are trying to establish what they had in season1 in which Jeeva-Kathir were the closest brothers, both had immense respect for each other and shared everything under the sun. Both of thrm never fought in all those 5 years and were each other’s support system too. I am already sensing that with Venkat’s entry they are trying to recreate Jeeva- Meena’s relationship with Senthil-Meena amd Jeeva-Kathir’s relationship with Senthil-Kathir. I am ok with Venkat playing Senthil except how is he going to be son of Pandian when he was the younger brother of Moorthy in Season 1 (Pandian/Moorthy played by Stalin) and that’s my only gripe.

I really don’t know what happened with Vasanth and the team, either he quit or they fired him, he played Senthil differently as opposed to Venkat who is acting in his own style If they make Senthil’s character stronger with the arrival of Venkat, I might start liking him and his jodi with Meena just like how liked Jeeva-Meena.

It was a solid 6 minutes scene between Senthil-Kathir today which was worth watching. I am glad they did not include Saravsnan in this scene.

If Senthil grows a spine like Kathir and finds his own way by securing a Government job and Meena supporting him, KR progressing in their relationship and in their life/career together and Palanivel being treated in a dignified manner while Vel family get ti enjoy small joys and Ravi/Shanti (Meena’s parents) accept Meena and Senthil which is important to her, I am ok with the show. Other characters -Pandian, Gomathi, Saravanan, TM and her family can Go to Hell Arasi and Kuzhali are too insignificant to think about and waste time

Tbh, I ffd today's episode since it felt like watching S1. Henceforth when any promo airs with Senthil-Meena, I need to check the date to see whether it is S1 or S2.
