Another one to the list is Dil Chahta Hai. The Amir-Priety track where he gatecrashes her wedding.

I’m so intrigued by the story. It looks like Wahaj’s character is always trying and Maya’s character isn’t giving him much from the limited leaks we’ve seen.

Does this Usama and Maya wedding go through I wonder. Why is Wahaj at the Mehendi and why is he performing. So many questions….

I feel like Usama and Maya will be endgame if they end up getting married. I would assume that Wahaj has the more prominent role so I’m pretty confused.

So, KRQ doesn't really believe in one sided love and he loves projecting his heroes right in his stories.

And he doesn't believe in forced marriages having a happy ending. He often has shown that the girl gets married to the wrong guy who doesn't turn out to be a good guy and eventually the marriage fails.

And if Wahaj is the hero of the story then KRQ might not show him in bad light... if he portrays an arrogant guy who falls in love & literally goes on his knees for the woman he loves then the writer will ensure he gets all the sympathy in the end.

So, let's see! I am not interested in stories like KANK which glorify EMA and stories like Dhadkan...if SMD is based on these lines then I might give it a miss. Stories glorifying EMA should flop is what I feel just like KANK flopped.

Hoping that the story has something great to offer & Wahaj gets to portray a character that justifies his caliber.

KRQ would never glorify EMA. The guy wrote MPTH which was about how EMA can ruin everything. I still believe that it would be an one sided love and Maya won’t reciprocate. May be this story is about how destructive one sided love can be ? Even the title ‘Sun Mere Dil’ hints at one sided love.

I don't understand why are everyone jumping with the conclusion that cheating or EMA will be involved. It could also turnout to be something else.. They could be estranged lovers and somehow their paths meet years after their breakup and hero couldn't moveon from her, but she's getting married. Probably he is trying his best to convince her to come back ?

That's also quite possible..
