"Just think about yourself" trait goes to everyone in the house except Ar sa... They are like those people in the middle of an attack who sometimes can even forget near and dear ones while saving own life. It happens as part of basic human self-defense. The house is a slave house and they are constantly thinking to save themselves.

Now Ar sa is a curious wisted case of the house because he was raised as the dog of the house who got bones from the owner and thought he didn't deserve the bones.
