Pendulum not standing up for his mother is still okay. For him, She is AWOL and he will remember the Poddar side of the story, not his biological mother. While him not standing up for Abhira is different, He lived with her for 10 months. He knows her best in the PH. He should know her motivations and intentions.

See it is not like Armaan thinks his mother is a wrong person. The only crime Poddars accuse her of is not being rich enough. He just don't speak up for her because that would be an inconvenience for his DadiSa and step-mom. I find that very wrong. May be it is just me, but a son who can't speak up for his bio mom is not very worthy of anything.
