Kal Ho Naa Ho:Promise to live a lifetime in a heartbeat Part 1

I dedicate this SS to my dear friend Esha136 who requested for a story on the movie Kal ho naa ho.She suggested both DevAkshi and PraNbir.But I chose DevAkshi as I have written many PraNbir stories already.I also dedicate this to my friends Salley and Mochaqueen as they like Haider Dua.

An old lady was shouting at her daughter in law.She was Kareena.

Kareena:Because of you,my son got separated from me.

Her daughter in law Latika:How did I separate you from your son Mummiji?

Kareena:You brainwashed him and turned him against me.

Latika:No Mummiji.I have never done that.You are misunderstanding me.

Suddenly Latika's husband Manoj came.

Manoj:Latika is saying the truth.She has never brainwashed me against you.

Kareena:Wrong.After marrying Latika,you got distanced from me.

Manoj:I am irritated with you only because after marriage you are continuously taunting Latika only because she did love marriage with me.Why to blame her alone when I am also at fault?

Kareena:See how you are defending Latika and blaming me..

Their fight continued and the person who was watching it got upset.She was Manoj and Latika's daughter Sonakshi.She walked away.

Sonakshi went to meet her dearest friend Dua.Dua was dressed in a lehenga.

Sona:Why are you dressed up?

Dua:I am going to attend a wedding party.I am really excited.Because my childhood crush Haider will be there.

Sonakshi thought:Dua is really happy.I should not make her upset by telling my family problems.

Sona:That's nice.You enjoy.Bye!

Dua:Bye!

After getting out of her house Sonakshi rang up someone.

Sona:I want to meet you soon.

Sonakshi took her car and went somehere.Another car reached there.A guy came out of the car and Sonakshi too got out of her car.

Sona:Veer!

Veer:What happened Sonakshi?

Sonakshi was quiet.

Veer:You are upset because your dadi and your parents had a fight.Right?

Sona:You understand me and my life and problems so well.

Veer:I am your best friend.I have to..

Sonakshi smiled.But within seconds she became upset again.

Sona:Since childhood I have been witnessing these fights.I am fed up.

Sonakshi's eyes were full of tears.Veer wiped her tears.

Veer:I don't want my best friend to cry.Because it kills her beauty.

She smiled.

Dua collided with a guy at the wedding party.

He:I am sorry.

Dua looked at his face.Her face blossomed.

Dua:You did not recognize me?

He was confused.

He:Do you know me?

Dua:Hey Haider!It's me.Your childhood friend Dua.

Haider was surprised.

Haider:Dua!What a surprise!How did you recognize me?

Dua smiled.

Dua:Your face has not changed at all.It's just that your body has grown.

They both laughed.

Haider:Anyways I am very happy to see you after a long time.

Dua blushed looking at him deeply:Me too.

Haider:Let us keep in touch.

Dua got excited.

Dua:Sure!

They exchanged their phone numbers.

Veer took Sonakshi for a fun car drive.

Veer took Sonakshi to a beautiful place.They sat there.

Veer:I brought you to your favourite place.

Sonakshi smiled.

Sona:This is my favourite place because since childhood we have been spending a lot of time here.

Veer smiled.

Veer took Sonakshi to a cinema theatre to watch a movie.

Veer:Let's enjoy this movie.You will forget all your pain.

Sonakshi smiled.

Sona:You know how to cheer me up.

Veer:After all I am your best friend.

She smiled.

Veer was making pots.Sonakshi too joined him and had fun.

Sonakshi went to the top floor of her house.She was shocked and scared to see a stranger there.

Sona:Thief!

He was shocked:What?Why are you calling me a thief?

Sona:Then what else to call you?You are a thief who entered my house without my permission.

Hearing the noise Manoj and Latika came.

Manoj:What happened?

Sona:Dad....see a thief has entered our house.

Manoj and Latika laughed.

Latika:This is not a thief.He is Dev.He is our paying guest.

Sonakshi was surprised and embarrassed.

Sona:What?

Dev:Yes.I am not a thief.

Sonakshi put an attitude and said:Whatever I don't care.In this situation anyone will react like me seeing a stranger.

Manoj:Still you please say sorry to him beta.

Sona:I did not call him a thief purposefully. Then why should I apologize?And I belong to a family where the word 'sorry' doesn't exist.My parents did not apologize to dadi for marrying against her wish.Dadi did not apologize for taunting my parents for years for marrying against her wish.

Manoj and Latika felt embarrassed as Sonakshi talked like this in front of Dev.Without bothering that Sonakshi walked away.The embarrassed Manoj and Latika said:Sorry on behalf of our daughter.

Dev:It's ok.I just took it as a joke.

They smiled.

Fantastic Update

I remembered yrkkh from first scene. Akshara’s MIL was also suchpartially, she couldn’t accept romance and Kareena can’t accept love marriage. Iforgot who r Devakshi, recalled after reading this. Surprising that Haider is Dua’schildhood crush just like Ibadat’s childhood crush is Subhan. Sona and Veer looksgreat together. Dua Haider moment was cute. Sona Veer moments were nice. Sonakshiis right, sorry doesn’t exist in their family. Perfect pics. Waiting for next.

Sona:How come you are here?

Dev:I am the new chef here.

Sonakshi could not believe it.

Sonakshi:How is it possible?

Latika:Sorry Sona.I forgot to tell you that.Actually Dev came here to work in our restaurant.Since he did not get any accommodation easily only we let him stay in our house as the paying guest.

Sonakshi was stunned.

Sona:How can you just appoint him as the new chef mom?He may ruin the reputation of our restaurant.

Latika:Do you think that we will appoint anyone without checking his talent?His recipes are great.His cooking is fabulous.

Dev brought a plate of food and kept it on the table near her.

When the waiter served the new dish of Dev,yhe customers praised it.Sonakshi was surprised.

Sonakshi told Dua and Veer about Dev.

They both giggled..

Veer:It seems that Dev is an interesting character.

Sonakshi:What interesting character?I find him boring.

Dua:But like Veer said i also feel that he is interesting.

Sonakshi got irritated.

Sona:Instead of finding Dev interesting you take care of your love life.

Dua asked her in a teasing manner:Are you already feeling jealous?

Veer and Dua laughed.

Sonakshi got angry.

Sona:Shut up.

Veer:Come on Sonakshi...don't get angry.

Dua changed the topic.

Dua:Anyways...I met Haider.He looks so handsome now.Now I like him more.

Manoj told Sonakshi:There is a good marriage proposal for you.

Latika:Why are you getting angry Sona?

Kareena:Why beta?You need to get married at the right age.

Sona:Why dadi?After marriage i will have time only to fight with my inlaws and my children will live in grief as they will grow up watching it.That's what i have been seeing since my childhood days.So I am not interested to get married.

Manoj,Latika and Kareena became dull.Dev was watching it.

Kareena stared at Latika:Because of you our family became like this.Because of you,my grand daughter became like this.

Latika:Mummij...you are the one who started the fight first.

Manoj:Yes mom.You never forgave us.You targeted Latika always.

Sona:For heaven sake you guys please stop it.

Sonakshi walked away angrily.

Sonakshi was sitting with a gloomy face.

Dev went near her.

Dev:Don't worry.All your family problems will get over.

Sonakshi stared at him.

Sona:It's my family.Whether I have family problems or not why do you care?Leave me alone.

Dev:I understand your mental state.Because I am from a broken family.I grew up watching my parents fight.One day they got separated and married someone else.I cried a lot.Because I became all alone.Now I don't even have parents as they considered me as an obstacle in their married life with their new partners.I was dumped in an orphanage.

Sonakshi was shocked.

Dev:But your family loves you.Your family problems are actually small.Be happy that compared to others you have a happy family.

Sonakshi ignored his words.

Dev:2 hours back we met each other.

Sona:What?

Veer:Ya.I came here to see you and your family.But I met Dev accidentally. Within a few minutes we got connected with each other.Because Dev is so friendly.

Sonakshi was stunned.

Sonakshi:Within some minutes you both became friends?

Dev:Yes.Why not?Relationships can be made or broken within a few seconds.

Veer:We have even planned to go to the pub.

Sonakshi was shocked.

Sona:What?No Veer.

Dev:Why can't Veer come with me to the pub?

Sona:Because I don't like it.

Veer:But why Sonakshi?

Sona:You can't go out with a stranger.
