saying marriage is in 2 days implies that it's going to happen soon. when I was 5 yrs old I had a bengali friend and my mother one day told her grandmother that I didn't eat my meals myself and always wanted someone to feed me and her grandma had told me "2 din mein college chali jayogi toh phir kaise kaam chalega" as an implication that I should grow out of that habit and learn to feed myself because that can't and shouldn't last a long time. "2 din" is hyperbole, I thought all hindi speakers knew it but I guess it's more common in bengali speakers. hope that helps <3
