Exactly. This fits my unscientific observation too. 1) Wahaj popularity has declined since Tere Bin hype was at its peak. 2) Bilal is more popular now than Wahaj. 3) Wahaj's hype at peak TB was much higher than Bilal's hype at peak IM.
He had chemistry with ayeza, and in mpht the charcters and writing was so bad that even he couldn't save the ship.
Anyways badar is someone who isn't good at directing romance so expecting good romantic scenes from him is futile.
