True, you'd expect them to be smart and mature considering all they had to go through due to their elopement. But here it is the opposite. Pandian's character is inconsistent, he didn't want to spend money on food but spent money on alcohol and then had to pay so much for the hospital treatment. He is usually good towards Raji but then commented that she is a dandam. He was okay to elope without caring about the Vel's feelings but unhappy that his sons eloped. He wants Saravana to get married but refused the girl whom Saravana liked. He tells Palani to be patient but he himself is hurrying to perform Saravana's wedding.

I don't even want to discuss Gomathi, she is really irritating. I don't know why an actress like Nirosha is doing those appavi with fluttering eyes and shy expressions. If she watches the serial, she can see how she looks with those expressions. I expect better acting from a movie actress.

I agree, Pandian, Gomathi, Arasi and Meena should never come to know that Kathir is working part-time to support his and Raji’s expenses. Senthil, Saravanan and Palanivel are his supporters, they know what it is like not to have money on hand and ask Pandian for money for all their needs. He should probably tell Raji that he is doing a part-time job to support both of them.

As for Saravanan-Mayil marriage, something is fishy there. Pandian Saravananai paazhum kinatha thalla poraru. Nalla paiyan, maata poraan Mayil kitteyum, Mayil family kitteyum.
I saw in Instagram that they are going to introduce Mayil’s sister too- Muthuchudar.
Pandian has only 3 seasons, all are married, who is she going to be paired up with unless she has been brought as a 3rd angle between Kathir-Raji, who could actually help both of them fall in love

The way Pandian is demeaning Kathir in every episode without giving him benefot of the doubt is appalling. How is he going to take all hos words back when he comes to know that not Kathir but his own wife Gomathi screwed up Kathir-Raji’s life and got them married,

Gomathi, the dimwit is still in her own Lalaland and is asking stupid questions to Raji about her relationship with Kathir. How did she expect both of them to reconcile in a month. She is the dumbest person in this show.

Gomathi is trash. It was utterly ignorant and pathetic of her to ask such questions to Raji.

The problem here is, makers are trying to imbibe the characters of Nasser and Saranya from Em Magan into these two and are failing soo badly. Its unfortunate that Nirosha is not able to portray Gomathi the way Saranya had done in her role. And that is mostly due to such a terrible character arc and storyline. She is just a COWARD who hides behind her son and pushes him into receiving her husband's and brothers' wrath. Saranya's character in that movie was flawed. Someone who was helpless and actually feared her husband, but still always tried to protect her son.

Here Pandian and Gomathi had a so called 'love' marriage. Gomathi should ideally be the last person to fear him. What kind of a goddamn love marriage is that which makes you fear and cower in front of your husband? And what stupid reason she gave to Kathir to protect herself from Pandian's anger? That Pandian will hate her and so she needs to save her own a**?? So neither does she believe in herself nor does she believe in the love that she & Pandian supposedly have. This basic plotline of Pandian and Gomathi's sham of a love marriage is what irritates me as a viewer big time.

I didn't even watch the episodes fully last week to catch this error. It is like how Raji made rasam soup but the stove was off, and Gomathi was supposedly cooking some curry but from one angle you could see it was just water boiling in the vessel.

I just noticed, out of all the clips of PS2 that Vijay's YT channel puts up, Kathir Raji's fall & catch scene has the highest views. About 2M now! It is probably still a trending scene in comparison to the clips of leads from other shows. I for one, have been watching that episode and last week's Raji being insulted episode on loop. The way Kathir followed Raji, walking behind her was a beautiful sequence which they cut short so abruptly.

Any PS promo with these two garners more than 2M views within a day. Every comment under every video clip is about them. That should be more than enough for makers to realize the potential this pairing has.

Frankly speaking, makers could have given a good plot to Saravanan and his previous lover's story as well. Indha Mayil and ava family additions ellam thevaye ille.

Probably get Kathir to bring Saravanan and his previous lover together? Andha lover aa vandha va oru actress thaane?

I read comments that this season is inspired by Em Magan movie but since I have not watched the movie, I did not get the relevance. Now I get the gist of it.

I agree with what you say about Gomathi and Pandian. Why should she be afraid of him when every time she says he takes good care of her and they do not fight and she has never lacked anything from him? Doesn't fit! Her whole relationship with Pandian seems fake. She is always crooning about his respect dignity, and honor, but she conveniently forgets that when she forced Kathir to marry Raji.

One thing I like about Gomathi is that she always asks if someone is hungry and is ready to prepare food for them. She did that with Meena after the "Pandian trying to hit Senthil but Meena stopped him" scenario. They can write both Pandian and Gomathi characters better and make it a good story arc.

I watched the same now. Also, the soup scene and the fight scene in their room when Gomathi got lectured. Kathir-Raji are the main leads and I decided to watch S2 just for them. I'm sure many also feel the same. The makers should understand that and work on their story.

Mayil and family seem like unnecessary extra drama at this point. Could have inserted them into the story differently.

Yeah, his previous lover was portrayed by another TV actress. She was nice and I thought that she was the one for him. Like maybe her husband is not good or he dies, and Saravana elopes to marry her. Pandian sure will die from a heart attack. But they showed her just to make Saravan drink and lament about his lost love.

On another note, I hope they never show Kathir getting drunk to pour out his feelings to Raji or confess his love to her later. I'm fed up with that drunken confession troupe. I want him sober and in sound mind when it comes to Raji.

@bold - just what I thought. They could have given a young widow remarriage in a village like Kunnakudi track to her and Saravanan and how it could impact their future. A possible way of Saravanan also growing spine, with Kathir and Senthil's support, may be?

I too am fed up with drunk and confession tracks. They are needless and mindless and does not serve any purpose to the story. KM drunk and confession too did not serve any purpose since both did separate due to miscommunication for a while after that track. Here too, if they try to incorporate drunk and confession for KR, it will hardly make any difference. So me too not looking forward to it. This Kathir is very straight forward and has clarity about things. He should be the first to confess to her, clearly and smoothly. Raji will never do so, even though I think she will fall for him first.
