Nice topic!
I would love more movies/concepts exploring fame *particularly downsides of fame, celebrity obsession, unrequited love. Something that was briefly explored in the movie Rockstar. The movie Fan did explore celebrity obsession but was not executed well. Unrequired love has been the topic of several movies.. but not to my taste. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was kind of annoying... especially Alizeh's character.
Film noir is a genre with endless potential for exploration. Many black-and-white films have had incredible concepts but didn't receive the recognition they deserved. Some underrated gems include "Detour" (1945), "The Night of the Hunter" (1955), and "Sweet Smell of Success" (1957).
