But if they wanna keep the core of the show as "ROMANCE", then definitely Ar-Ab separation will happen for xyz reason.

Rishta is both family drama + romance. Rishta actually gives importance to other characters and their story as well while the main focus is always on the leads. In Gen1 multiple couples and their issues had the leads somehow meddling in between or their influence changing the dynamics of the leads.

Similarly in Gen2 others were somehow responsible for the leads either getting separated or coming closer. Like marriage of Naksh-Keerti lead to MU between Kaira. Or marriage of Mansi and Anmol brought Kaira closer.

Understanding is one thing, but trusting the character is another.
